Massive given the earlier results. Sure, Arsenal were toothless but was lovely to see Fabinho controlling midfield, and Doug being clinical. Nat and Kabak could have worn slippers.

A fair way to go, and scraping into the top four wouldn’t exactly be a red letter season, but not a bad time for the team to start finding form.

Moving Fabinho back into his natural position (took Klopp a few games too long to realise the defence is best served with putting Fabinho where he should be), Kabak adapting to being thrown in the deep end at an impressive speed and having Jota back adding an extra dimension to our attack has revitalised our season at just the right time. Back in the mix for top four and a winnable tie against Madrid, fingers crossed that Mr Injury has retired for the season.

Arsenal were absolutely awful. Not even the fun awful when Liverpool have battered them in the past, they were a complete non entity. The team seems to be getting back to it's best and a striker actually getting on the end of a cross to score instead of it being comfortably headed away by the defense was a nice change from previous games.

So, kits for next season?

Yellow would be a classic. Home and away would be better with vertical pin stripes imo. Dear Nike...

Really don't like the black collar on the home kit, it's just wrong. And why have vertical lines only on the third kit? Nike are a bit rubbish, aren't they?

Think the yellow one is brilliant, proper ‘Crown Paints’ throwback, but the other too are just Nike templates in not-quite-Liverpool colours.

Pink trim? Black on red? Collar looks like a dolly mixture shacked up with an old Man United shirt.

Generally, I don't think we're playing too badly, second best for sure but not dreadful. Our back line is being shown up for it's lack of pace though, they're finding it way too easy to get beyond our centre backs. Why we're playing such a high line I don't know.

And as I'm typing this, they score again.

Missing Firmino massively, for the first goal Kroos stands with all the time and space in the world to pick his pass.

The game also passed Keita by. Two big selection calls from Klopp and they were wrong. Firmino is absolutely key to the way the team operate still, more so when you're setting up defensively with a three man midfield like he did. None of them stepped out to pick up Kroos.

Urgh. I take back my comment about us not playing too badly, it's all gone to shit. I can't see it bringing us back into it tonight, but we need Firmino on just to give us some sort of presence in the middle and help retain possession to stop it getting any worse.

I like Keita, even tonight he had a couple of decent runs at them, but when he keeps getting injured it's hard to keep faith in him. If the thinking was to get in and around their aging midfield, Jones would have been a better choice.
