I still think Henderson's sending off near the end of the 13/14 season is what cost us the title. As a captain he's in a better side than Gerrard ever had but he sets the tone and the team is definitely not as effective when he's not playing. Gerrard could drag the teams to performances they shoudn't have been capable of.

Oh, look. It's a team employing a low block, with all 10 behind the ball. Side-to-side-to-side we go, where will a shot come from? Nobody knows. It's way past time we learned to deal with this. The long balls are too long, the crosses are being mopped up, and there is nowhere to play the through balls to.

Calling it the "first shot on target" is favouring it, somewhat. Neither player knew where it was going.

I'm so sick of seeing this at the moment. They can push, pull, kick, and hold our players with impunity, but if we get within 6 foot of them they just need to fall for the referee to blow. Week in, week out, match after match.

Just as I type that, we get a free kick!

I said this after the Fulham West Brom Newcastle Burnley game, but I'm not sure Klopp has any kind of plan B at the moment. We can lament the defensive injuries all night long, but the midfield and attack seem to have no clue as to how to score against teams set up to defend at the moment.

7 points from 6 games against the bottom six. Absolutely shocking and whilst realistically the title had gone before now, top-4 is also under serious threat. And with City, Leicester and Everton as our next 3 games, and the way we are playing, I'd probably consider 3 points from those games a good result!

I really hope Klopp doesn't try and make excuses for the team or blame Brighton for playing defensively, I'll lose a bit of respect for him if he does anything other than say they were tripe.

What a week for Brighton though, a couple of big wins for them.

Why though? He has to say what he sees.  He can't just be all lovely and say Brighton were superb, we were shit.  Roy Hodgson had that defeatist attitude.

Brighton defending bloody well and got a flukey goal, it's not football you want to watch now is it? 10 men behind the ball is a tactic, but not an enjoyable one.

What? Where did I say he has to praise Brighton at all? I said he shouldn't be trying to defend a performance that saw 1 shot on target; no matter how well Brighton defended, that's dreadful.
