Always shit losing to United but at least we put up a fight and actually scored. Besides I'm sure Rushford was offside for his goal and I question if that was a freekick that lead to their third. But it's United at Old Trafford so of course.

We're not exactly in a good shape to be playing more games anyway.

I can't say I feel all that much really. I said the other day that I felt putting out a strong side wouldn't matter and it hasn't.

The fact we scored means little - we scored against Villa's kids, after all - the team just needs a win from anywhere and I just can't see when that's coming.

Liverpool can't defend very well.

Thing is they put out a team without their most expensive centre back, and their other centre back, and their other centre back, and played a midfielder and a kid at centre back.

Which is why they can't defend very well.

Aging Milner did a boo boo, what else can you expect?

Klopp won't be too worried about this, it clears the schedule up.

Meh. Didn’t deserve anything from the game but one less game to play. Erm, yay?

Thought scoring might add a bit of verve to our play but just look so jaded at the minute. Don’t see much changing in terms of results any time soon *shrug*

Well the defence have been decimated by injury, Matip is only just back so it’s no surprise he didn’t feature in the fixture that’s obviously the least cared about.

Klopp fails to get beyond round four again though, which is hugely frustrating.

Cant really argue with the result, of course, Man U were the much better team overall and of course it was a free kick for the third, if you get rolled by a forward but don't get the ball they'll always go down and get the award. Don't know about any offside for Rashford though?

I'm sure that's literally what I mentioned

Definitely found some mojo in front of goal. Didn’t understand why neither Rashford goal or ‘foul’ for the third was reviewed by VAR.

Not unhappy about not being in the FA cup but didn’t like losing from that bullshit decision though.

Well onside and if you can't see the Pool defender coming through Cavani with his knee then I don't really know what to say

Cavani bought it and was always on his way down. But Fabinho was dumb allowing that to happen, so no arguments.

I know we lost, but there were some positives in there, and signs that we can get out of this slump. Bobby was pure sex at times today, Salah looked on it, and Jones continues to impress. I hate to say it though, but I don't really see any potential in Williams. He'd be fine in a team playing in a low block, but he's not quick enough to play without the support of a full back, and he has a lot of mistakes in him.

Plus Mane was lucky to still be on the pitch after his studs up leg breaker :sherlock:

Cavani is already on his way down before any contact was made. Fair play he used his experience to win that one, doesn’t make it any less of a dive.

Mate, you can't go charging through a striker like that just because Ian Wright said so.

Any comments on the offside? Or Mane's "tackle"?
