It’s a phenomenal run. Also underlines how staggering Chelsea’s 86-game unbeaten home run was seeing as we’re not even close to that yet.

Can’t see our record lasting through this weird old season but for however many more it does continue, it’s been a cornerstone of Klopp’s success.

Rhys Williams starts, Jota plays his way into the team:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Rhys Williams, Gomez, Robertson, Jones, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Jota, Mane.

Subs: Milner, Keita, Firmino, Adrian, Minamino, Tsimikas, Shaqiri, Origi, Matip, Kelleher, Cain, Neco Williams.

Hopefully Cuuuuuuuube appears at some point.

Well Zapata has 91 so...

Yeah, I didn't spot that at the time, but then did and thought I'd leave my mistake up for all to laugh at.

We're battering them! We should have at least 1 more goal by this point. And RIGHT ON CUE, JOTA AGAIN!

They've godda come to Anfield and not lose 5-0 if they're gonna get points from that game. For me, if they wanna do better next time, they've gotta concede fewer than 5 instead of 5. Jota's scoring a lot of goals, Liverpool fans will like that. He looks like he's gonna score and he's been scorin', so that's dead good tha'. Then when you look at Liverpool they've scored 5 goals and not conceded any. Instead of no points, like Atalanta, they've had 3, and that's the difference between the sides at the end of the day. Great thing about Jota's goals is how he puts the ball into the goal. Atalanta will have to try and do that in the second leg, but of course they've gotta not concede 5. If I was their manager I'd tell them to score more goals and let in fewer goals. That's the key to it for me.

Expert punditry aside, that was great wasn't it. :D Jota's rampage continues, Naby's back, clean sheet, such a relief to have Alisson back. Chuffed for Rhys Williams for the clean sheet too. Perfect start in the Champions League!
