I know he gets a fair bit of stick but I was really impressed with Lallana today.  I think he was a bit rash at times shooting rather than sharing but otherwise he felt like a really steady force in the midfield.  May just be me though

Yeah, home tie would have been good but gives the kids, Adrian and Adam Lallana another run out all the same. 
 

Think they’ve all earned enough goodwill in the League Cup and yesterday that whatever the result there are huge positives for several of the U23s going into the summer / pre-season tours, also helped by the new training facility opening in Kirkby so everyone will soon be in one place.

I'd completely forgotten how many goals Coutinho scored from outside the area. He was the master of the inside of the foot to the far corner shot. Suarez on his day was just another world, I've never seen a player with such amazing creativity on the ball. I swear he didn't have clue what he was doing so defenders had no chance either. Obviously, he also gave the ball away a lot but highlight reels like this don't show that. Also, the speed that the Ox puts on the ball with little backlift for his goals is crazy.

That’s the most impressive thing about top flight players: the speed. Love watching their warm-ups before games, make the difficult look very easy.

4th? The first three are a lot worse, who would think Matip, Gomez and, to a lesser extent, Lovren could improve so markedly when partnered with an outstanding defender with leadership qualities. Leadership is the clear difference Van Dijk brings to the Liverpool team, I reckon he is the real captain amongst the players too

This Spurs side isn’t good enough defensively to park the Mourinho bus. If they do that we’ll run out comfortable winners.
