Harvey Elliott looks like a real prick. Have a go at me for saying that about a 16 year old, fair enough, but you know he’s a real dick at school. Hard not to be when you’re playing for Liverpool at that age, but still, got a really punchable face.

He also seems pretty damn good too though.

Keeper hasn't touched anything, theirs has actually played really well. This is experience winning out, and a man in need of some goals padding his stats against a bunch of teenagers. I don't care what the final score is at this point, as long as we get at least 1 out of it we can class this as a good result.

Travelling Kop has been behind the kids all game so far. If they can continue to up that support there could be a goal in this for us yet.

Hope so, would be more than the youngsters deserve. Brutal lesson for them, but hope they just keep having a go. Balls to the scoreline, it don’t matter now.

Just wanted to put it out there that Manchester United withdrew from the FA Cup in the 1999-2000 season because of their commitment to the Fifa Club World Cup, so fair play to these kids for keeping the scoreline to a respectable five against bigger and better men in a far less prestigious competition. Bit of a baptism of fire but sure they'll just be happy for the playing time.

There is nothing but positives to take away from that game. Their keeper made a number of saves at vital times too, which could have seen it be very different.

Harvey Elliot can become some player, he really stood out tonight.

John Terry classy

My thoughts for the evening are Elliot can be a first team regular if he keeps his head down and puts the work in that will be required of him.

Apart from that the rest didn't really stand out as anything special. Hoever, Berg and Kane looked ok and the rest of the team coped admirably with the demands of a quarter final.

Chirivella is going to have to leave, at 22 he doesn't fit into the central midfield that Klopp deploys and he won't be getting first team squad opportunities with the current options at the managers disposal. He wasn't bad tonight but I think he lacks the physicality to thrive under Klopp.

Edit : whatever happened to Woodburn? He seemingly is at Oxford United but hasn't made too many appearances so far this season. His recent record appears to suggest he thought breaking into the Liverpool first team was job done and has gone backwards since then.
