Benteke really does offer us exactly what we need uo top at the moment doesn't he. People suggesting how he'd fit in but so far he's been pretty solid offering goals and assists. Hopefully he can stay fit as he's pretty prone to injury.

Watched the game with my Chelsea supporting flat mates. Made the result even sweeter :D

Best I've seen Liverpool play since last season's result at White Hart Lane. They bossed the game, they pressed Chelsea all over and passed rings round them at times. Sakho and Moreno look much improved under Klopp too. I love the Tekkers, I was chuffed when he signed and never doubted that he'd do it for us.

Also Firmino had a very good game too. He's looking like he's starting to find his feet in the prem.

Here's hoping this wasn't a one off and that there is more to come.

I always said that Sturridge and Suarez never really played together - it always seemed Sturridge was looking to outdo Suarez. Then again, it's always been a criticism of him wherever he's been, that he always shoots regardless of whether or not there's a better option available. It'll be interesting - if he's ever fit long enough - how he will work with Benteke, because Suarez you get the feeling never really cared about the individual glory or needed to be the superstar. I suppose it's one of those things - if you need to keep being told you're the top man/a superstar, you likely aren't one. I mean, at age 26 you'd still say he's potentially world class, rather than having done well enough for long enough to prove it.

Anyone else have the misfortune to catch the local BBC (NW) news? It went:

- big success in the NW this weekend in the Premier League!

-... starting with Everton who scored a whopping six goals (detailed analysis over three goals)

-... and Philip Coutinho scored two against Chelsea (quick shot of one of the goals)

-... and City scraped by Norwich (no footage whatsoever)

This is a guy who has previously given lengthy stories for Man U and apologised on air for "inconveniencing" them with regards to analysis during interviews. Tony Livesey he most certainly isn't.

Full squad gone out to Russia. Really feel like we should be giving the Europa League the respect it deserves considering the prize for winning it. It's certainly more important than the FA and League Cup.

It's also good for togetherness. And if Klopp wins it he will revel in it!

He is lifting everyone. It's wonderful to see :)

Too right, where we're at right now, a Europa League win would be massive, not least because of the Champions League entry.

Do wish UEFA would stop using the competition as a parachute for teams exiting the CL group stages as I think it reflects badly on the competition's status, but so be it. While a league title will always be the ultimate prize, European nights are ingrained in the club, and we've been luckier than most to enjoy some spectacular wins in both the CL and UEFA Cup.

and while youre on that, lets have divisions 1 2 3 and 4 back please. naming a league the "premiership" doesnt even make grammatical sense i dont think. a premiership is like a term of a ruler or something, not a league or a title. its idiotic. but then again these are they days of the wongarena and the tony macaroni stadium, so all dignity in football naming is long gone.
