I thought this was a great article about the state of the squad that Klopp has inherited, and how we have good players, just not a great balance at the moment.

Klopp finds a squad containing quite a few players who are neither quick nor exceptional. This is not to say that theyre all bad players; indeed, some are very good players.

Just got Coutiniho & Firmino in my current LFC Squad in Fifa 16 :)

Only Sturridge left to buy.

Sturridge is great, I got him when I sold Costa. Coutinho however, I just can't get him to play well for me, I don't want to do it but might have to sell him!

I had to convert Firminio from a CAM to a ST so I could have a 4th striker.

Now just need to wait till the mid-season update to get Klopp for manager.

Origi has looked better tonight, had some good touches and found a bit more space and Firminho has been a bit busier and involved (though that's not saying too much). Still not looked too threatening though and Bournemouth have had some good chances themselves. Nice quick thinking for the 'assist' and good running from Clyne to be on the end of it (and decent finish too). A second goal would be good for the crowd as much for the players, I feel.

Yeah, it could just be me. But right at the end there, when Clyne showed a great burst of speed and created some space, he looked up and had to play it backwards because the only option in the box was Origi standing next to 2 defenders. Ibe got into some spaces too and had little to aim at.

Still, Firminho had his best game for us, the youngsters did alright, we kept a clean sheet and we were relatively untroubled in that second-half. Some positives to take forward and now that the 'not winning under Klopp' monkey is off the team's back hopefully the players will relax a bit now.

So we appear to be through, and Man U, Chelsea and Arsenal appear to be out. This is most splendid. City absolutely panning Palace, with 5 different players on the score sheet, being the slight fly in the ointment.

I'd say away to Southampton is a tricky fixture to overcome before we start thinking of facing the likes of City!

Stinker of a draw considering the teams we could have got. The only all Premier League match. If we want to win, we're gonna have to field a strong team. It's in between Swansea at home and Newcastle away. Hopefully we'll have a few players back by then.

Thought Firmino, Clyne and Ibe were our best players last night. Clyne was up and down the left like an energizer bunny. He reminds me a lot of Glen Johnson, before he went to the dogs. Teixeira was the best of the youngsters. Randall grew into the game after a very shaky start I feel. Brannagan wasn't really involved to much, which was a shame. Origi is a problem. He's offering absolutely nothing. We can't be playing him the way he is...but then, how does he improve? Loaning him out maybe, but with the injury record of Benteke, Sturridge and now Ings, that's not really an option either. Lucas is without doubt the most improved player this season, don't know what he's been on...but he's getting back to pre-injury levels. No doubt he should be starting ahead of Allen, who in my opinion, has never been and will never be good enough. If we can cash in on him, that money can be used more wisely.

Klopp seems to really like Lucas too, I love seeing their little post-game hugs and conversations. It was so great seeing Randall's face when Klopp went and spoke to him after the match, he looked so pleased with himself.

Klopp hug...

Allan back from his loan spell too, after winning the league in Finland. Two goals and five assists in eight appearances. Going back out on loan now after a short break. He sounds like a good prospect.
