I still imagine that someplace, Igor Biscan and Djimi link up from time to time. Maybe to play some ping pong, order in a Chinese take-away or watch old episodes of Cheers. Igor laughs at Woody's jokes but isn't really sure why.

Echo saying we have the option to recall Markovic in January if we choose.

Markovic said: "I didn't have a good relationship with the coach. That was a problem. I played in many positions but didn't play in mine."

Classic Rodgers.

Edit: Markovic reps saying we can recall, Liverpool saying no, can't do it. ????

What is the CRAZY TALK about Gerrard coming back?! CRAZY I TELL YOU!

My biggest issue with the start of the season nothing-ness is that we don't have a central player now. Henderson, schmenderson. He's a nice lad, yet, you know.

Who is there that we feel attached too? It feels like a weak team, with no backbone. No heart. All the old timers have gone. We have no one to call our own.

So I felt perhaps the appointment of Klopp would solve this, somewhat. HE can be the talisman, because Rodgers never really fulfilled that. And yet if Gerrard does return, albeit for a few months - would that help? Would it hinder? Well - it would be fun.

You mean we haven't got anyone who's a bigger name than everyone else, that's when we get accused of being a 1 man team

I don't want Steve to come back but wouldn't be surprised, it would be typical LFC sentimental crap if he did because he would end up probably starting and even if we lost nearly every game it would be OK because Stevie came back and scored a winning penalty against Watford, RAWK would be happy at least

No, you totally misunderstood.

Where is the spine and heart of the team? We are missing home grown players or those that are embedded enough that they feel there truly belong.

Skrtel - unfortunately he is seen as too flaky. Everyone has turned on Mignolet.

Big names mean nothing. You can bring one in and they either won't perform or won't be quite the player that you need.

Milner is an obvious choice. Big name. Solid. Dependable. And yet he's not a part of the mould yet.

Balotell was a big name. See how that worked.

Suarez was one of those, mind. Hated by the opposition, loved by the fans. Controversial, a headline grabber for all the reasons (good and bad) and he works his legs off for the team. He's easy to build a team around, he's easy to build hope around.

So, no. You're very wrong and being flippant for lols. The Gerrard thing is neither here nor their, because this was a problem we have even without any proposed return.

The best teams have strong characters that not only the fans turn to, the team do also. And we lack that at the moment.

Really need to find somewhere online to watch the match this evening, Star Sports only shows premierleague games.

Annoying that BT sport don't have a sky sports/now tv style day pass option.

What times is the match on?

I've got a stupid committee meeting to attend this evening.

I like this site for streams, always seems reliable.

Failing that, ITV have highlights on tonight at around 10:30pm I think.

And, for live stream updates, there's this thread on...gulp...put on the tin hat...RAWK: http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=323139.760

Install Acestream and Google reddit soccerstreams for links. Fuck BT.

Check recent thread in ATF for more info.

Only just got in to see the equaliser, how have we played so far?

And, unrelated, I agree with Dinobot (and said similar at the end of last season) - we don't have a proper local-born lad to get excited about seeing in the first team. Rossiter has had some games, but he's probably not going to a player to excite the fans and give us those Fowler/Gerrard etc moments that just feel a bit more special because the player grew up with the club.

Lots of possession but not much created with it. RK were looking really good until their guy got himself sent off and I think we can count ourselves lucky they didn't get a second; they had a couple of other good opportunities.

Don't think I've ever heard a stadium quieter than when they scored. I was thinking it must have been disallowed or something then the commentator said shortly afterwards that RK have brought 20 fans with them!

I don't think the performance is too bad. Lacking a little bit of pace on the ball in the final third but the thing where we are embarrassingly bad is at crosses and corners. There have been over 30 combined crosses and corners and I think 2 have landed in a decent area. That's just pure shit. Clyne has been the worst culprit at crosses and Milner has been shit at corners.

Just want to add how good sakho has been though. Guy has won everything.

That was pretty poor, really, I don't think you can dress it up any other way. If that was a Rodgers performance he'd be getting all manner of stick and it's hardly as if the team is massively different to a couple of weeks ago - I don't think the change of manager is a valid excuse. Like the Tottenham game, I couldn't see where a goal was coming from, we just look light up top and our set-pieces were abysmal.

From what I saw, there was so little movement in the final third - too many similar players in the same areas doesn't help and Origi looked lost out there and the balance still looked wrong.

Much work to be done.

I'd expected them to work a bit harder, but didn't expect them to fix the attacking probems, considering the forwards are just coming back. Nights like this needed Cout to be on fire and he just isn't and there is no one else to make the difference.
