Where does he fit into the current system though? He isn't suitable as a lone striker, would he compete with the rest of the attacking players for a wide spot?

Let's just hope he can remain off crutches for long enough that Rodgers has to figure that out...

Markovic out too. Annoyed about that one.

If we were going to loan him out, much rather it would have been to another Premier League club to give him experience of the league.

There's a very good player there, just needs time and experience.

Yeah but it's what we do, loan them out then sell them at a discount just to get rid, I put my house on Balotelli Being a waste of space at Milan and getting sent back

Markovic is 21 and looked decent sometimes, I dunno what Lallana and Ibe have done much better....?

Ibe looked good at Derby in the first half of last season and in pre season but that form hasn't appeared in the league and Lallana spends most of his time injured. Sending Markovic out on loan just seems short sighted, it's not like he got that many games in the side either. Hopefully this isn't going to result in a cut price sale next summer.

Seriously raging about this one. I know there's a lot that could have been going on in training, and I've always suspected something must not be right behind closed doors because Brendan seems to have it in for this lad. Still, I'm so disappointed to see him shipped out like this. He has the potential to be an extremely classy, dangerous player. What has gone wrong?

Really disappointed about this, I don't really follow the logic. He wasn't that bad ladt season and i would have liked to see him improve. There are plenty of games if we stay in Europe and the cups where we would need some depth. Surely he was bought for his potential, was he a committee signing that Brendan just doesn't like?

That's 4 out the door now, all signed last year.

They are saying this is 100% a development loan and they hope to have him back.

We'll see though, hopefully he sets the Turkish league on fire and does come back in the hopes of getting into the first team.

For a young player like him, with so much potential, 1 year isn't enough in the PL, especially considering he was barely played, and when he was...it was as a wing back. When he played at a forward, he did genuinely look dangerous at times.

Such a shame.

As much as it's good that he could be playing regularly, the fact is he could be doing so with us. Lallana is constantly injured and I'd rate his performances as generally better than Ibe so far. Not happy about this at all. Agree with others that it would have been better had it at least been another PL club rather than buggering off to Turkey.

As Timbuktu says, there are plenty of games this year for him to feature in, so it makes no sense. What's gonna happen in Europe, who will we play? If we end up playing unknowns on the right attacking side when Markovic could have been there, that'll piss me off!

Indeed, when it comes down to it, both teams pretty much wasted the money with one or two exceptions they got for Bale and Suarez

Er, no, think you are jumping the gun there.

Spurs have got rid of everyone bar Lamela and Soldaldo. Soldaldo they are trying to off load. So Lamela, £32, 2 seasons, a bit crap really.

Liverpool bought Mario, Lambert, Lallana, Lovren, Markovic, Moreno. Balotelli failed, Lambert failed, Markovic will be coming back. The rest are playing and now looking good.

Come back to us in another seasons time when the rest are sold by all means, but its to early to say we've wasted the money just yet!

Soldado has been sold already. Spurs still have Chadli and Eriksen from the "Magnificent Seven" however, neither of whom are going to be sold any time soon. Capoue also wasn't really frozen out and sold for being poor, he crossed Pochettino (along with a number of other players).

Where's tomorrow's team news?

Assuming Hendo and Lallana are still injured i'm expecting the same team from last time. Though hopefully Ings can make an appearance at some point.

Team is:

Mignolet, Clyne, Skrtel, Lovren, Gomez, Lucas, Milner, Can, Firmino, Coutinho, Benteke.

No changes from Arsenal.

Ah fair enough, I was forgetting who was bought.Eriksen is really the only guy that has made it, Chadli is starting to look OK.

He scored 11 goals last season despite losing his dad suddenly midway through it, he's doing more than just OK. Wouldn't blame you for not noticing though, lots of Spurs fans don't really get him either.

You forgot Can, who is the pick of the bunch. He'll one day become an important player for us.

not to mention an important goal against Arsenal and a performance in the demolition of Chelsea that was only surpassed by Harry Kane on the day. it took some convincing but even if you doubt his ability he's one of the most effective players at Spurs, even in the flat start to this season he's provided a goal and assist. he's also become a cult figure and only partly thanks to his on field displays

Just a heads up but I'm going to have a spare ticket for the Liverpool vs Ruban Kazan match on the 22nd October as my brother can't make it. Face value (not sure what that is yet) but first come first served.
