It's their own problem. You see them when they come to Anfield...they spend 90 minutes hurling abuse at the home fans or singing about getting a job, feeding the Scousers or even songs about dead football fans. It's less about supporting their own team, and more about letting all the bile and hatred they have for Liverpool as a club or it's people, come out. Makes them feel big, part of the anti Scouse club. When it comes to football, some people can't think straight...they let their petty prejudices shine through, SaintM for example being the most guilty on here. I can imagine him sitting there in his Southampton bubble, talking absolute crap about Liverpool...sad thing is...people will agree with him, even if they don't admit it out loud. Fans like him and others who support such views are just a stain on modern day football.

But what are they bitter about? This is just a list of injustices against the club, but I still don't get why rival fans are 'bitter.'

So, Benteke. The rumours persist and are worrying me more as each day passes and they don't get disputed by the club. There is also mention of Bacca in the press but generally as an afterthought for not getting Benteke. I've not seen much of Bacca would he offer something different from the physical presence Benteke does?

I do agree he's a snide bastard at times, and it does become tiresome, but it is just best to ignore and get on with it. No point getting worked up. I can see that now.

I'm happy to defend any of my posts in this thread. I may post piss taking ones (like loling at Gerard's slip) in the main thread, but all is fair game in there.

In here though I don't think I've ever posted things that warrant the kind of response/abuse that Istanbul has decided to author.

It feels like it is become RAWKlite in here at the moment.

SaintM is a good guy and it isn't surprising he is in here a lot, due to the amount of business between Liverpool and Southampton, plus they were in a battle for positions most of the season, so again it stands to reason. I find most of what he says light banter, mixed with some decent knowledge, I just don't get why some are reacting in the way they are.

I don't deny its been pleasing to see LFC struggle this last season given what went on last time around. I'm a realist though and know any blips will even themselves out, so these small victories must be enjoyed whilst they can.

My intention isn't to rub people's noses in it in their own back yard though. My number of posts has been higher in here than traditionally due to the sheer number of our players moving or being linked with you guys. I've not been nasty or over provocative about it that I'm aware of, though if you feel that's not right please do PM me so we can take it out of here.

Bacca seemingly off the table, probably going to Milan.

Benteke still the number one target.

Would have rather went for Bacca to be honest, but we'll see how it goes. We're obviously hoping Villa accept a lower offer for Big Ben, though I don't really see why they would at this point. Surely not the type of player we need though, add to that his injury record...and it becomes even riskier, especially for the amount of money being talked about. Don't know, it just seems a strange one to me, very similar to the Balotelli signing.
