Is that Stoke's highest PL win?

The only thing I guess is that at least Gerrard got a goal. What a woeful result.

Edit: Just seen the comment on the BBC feed and it's another unwanted record Rodgers has earned - heaviest league defeat since 1954.

Saw this on Twitter and pretty much sums up why I think Rodgers is a goner.

LFC Season Targets: Top-4 finish, win a trophy, progress in CL.

LFC Season Finish: 6th place, no trophy, 1 win in CL.

Not to mention finishing off our season with the worst defeat in our Premier League history.

Can't see Rodger's keeping his job now, not sure how I feel about it if he's fired.

Said it at the end of last season that by coming so close it would be a failure this season. Hoped that wouldn't be the case.

Just hope the disappointing season means we'll invest in some good, proven, players in the summer.

SaintM must be enjoying it, at least.

As sure as Rogers praising the outstanding character of the team In the post match interviews.

Nah, it'd have been different if by some quirk of fate we could have nabbed a win away to city, but as it stands it's just another missed opportunity for us.

I'm sure it's been said: Brendan gets home and slumps down onto the sofa. On the coffee table there is a sealed envelope. He picks it up. It is heavy. There is something solid inside. He opens it. It's a mirror! Lol.

As a Stoke fan, I hope me coming in here doesnt seem like I'm here to rub things in, but I did want to say (I think I've said it before, but I'll say it again) that Dinobot aside, your fans have always been one of the nicer sets of fans towards my team, regardless of the result, even in the frustrating games that you should have won, so while I cant say I'm not happy with the score today, I'd have much rather it was against one of the other big clubs who's fans generally act like twats if we do half decent against them, no matter how well we play. You were also one of the more entertaining teams last season, so it's a bit sad to see it change around so quickly.

Am I right in thinking that last time you had a season after pushing for the title and lost a key player (Alonso that time), you finished outside of the Europe spots then too?

I can't stand Southampton fans. They went up as Champions at our place when we were going down - we were in admin too. Guess what 2000 of them did? Wave £20 notes at us. Classy. I find it ironic that they play the victim - bunch of cunts. Southampton's a hole too.

Yes. 2009-2010. We lost Alonso and Hyypia. Although there was a lot more backroom shenanigans with the owners at the time.

Yup. Came 7th. We're very good at being bridesmaids, then weeping and wallowing about it for a year or so afterwards.

every fanbase is full of people who do that stuff. as long as its not racist or homophobic i think its fair game

Nope. We relegated Tranmere this season and we applauded their fans - everybody there respected them. There was no 'banter'.

Yeah they could and maybe theyd like to walk into the Liverpool job. You never know. Appointing Gary Monk shows no ambition I'm afraid. Credit to him and how solid he's kept Swansea but we need a top level manager with more experience.

Fuck off Ian Ayre too and get someone who actually knows how to negotiate.

I think what we've seen in the past few transfer windows is that Rodgers isn't a draw to the top players.

We really could do with someone like Klopp at the helm. Or at least get a Director of Football in who can really sell the club - Monchi at Sevilla sounds like he'd work wonders.

So long as you've managed to come to terms with it, that's ok.
