I thought he meant the team now* but anyway players aren't really going to win anything at Arsenal you couldn't at Liverpool so as said above don't see why it's so deluded, fair enough if your career options are between Bayern Munich/Barcelona/Man City & Liverpool

Great cross from Markovic who has looked very good in the game so far. Hopefully he won't do anything stupid, the last two times I've seen him play he was sent off against Basel and sent off from the bench for Benfica against Juventus in last season's Europa League semi final.

Hopefully for Liverpool this is a week where they hit their lowest point with the 3-0 defeat to United and this is a confidence boosting win and performance to start back on the right track.

Of course this is Liverpool, so it will finish 3-2 to Bournemouth after extra-time.

we played well I guess, possibly 3rd time this season after Tottenham & Everton but it was still a bit shaky, Bournemouth had a few decent chances, bad as he's been Id still put Mignolet back in for Brad Jones, he is literally useless, or if not Mignolet play 'rush goalie' with a defender seriously (are we allowed?), Jones has to go

Raheem great 2 goals but wtf was that chance, why is his shooting all over the place? that goal at Norwich & West Ham and he had a good shot near the end tonight but keeps missing these chances like he's never even kicked a ball

I'm liking this new central role for Sterling, I hope he's played in it more. Markovic and Coutinho looked great too. Sterling is still young and developing, he's not going to be a natural goal scorer over night and although its frustrating the fans must give him time and not jump on his back every time he misses a chance. Suarez wasn't prolific in front of goal either for hs first 18 months.

After Brad Jones' performance tonight I'm starting to think Mignolet wasn't that bad...

We need to sign a good keeper the minute that transfer window opens. I have zero confidence whenever there is a hint of a chance of an attack from the opposition.

Great to hear we scored 3 goals and could have had more, our defence isn't going to become good overnight but if we can get back to regularly banging them in at the other end, at least we will be entertained!

With the goalie situation, you are right, we need a goalie in the first week of January, sadly these things usually don't work like that and it will be a whole month before we get one. If Rodgers has got it right, we should be bidding on a goalie and striker within that first week, we will see. Borini is definitely going though.
