Always said that Johnson lad was a quality player.

Didn't see the game due to work. Saw the team lineup and was pleased to see Kolo and Lucas there (and Gerrard benched)

Surprised to see Enrique, how'd he do?

When I checked to see who scored it didn't compute. I was sat thinking "Johnson? Who's Johnson? Wait... Glen Fucking Johnson!? U wot m8"

Some praise? I was at the match and he was World Class terrible, as he's been for most of the games I've been at. His distribution is appalling, to the point where the crowd were whistling him and even Skrtel was imploring him to pass it short to one of our players instead of waving everyone up the pitch and then kicking it to an opposition player on the right at the half way line. Like he did every fucking time!

It ruins the confidence and composure of the defensive unit.

Mignolet didn't have a great deal to do and yes, he made a very good save late on - but that's exactly what you expect from a keeper as a standard. He also continued to miss crosses, was hesitant in his decision making (he should have come out and got the ball instead of allowing Diouf to get a shot away) and as pointed out above, his distribution is - and always has been - dreadful. And what was with the time-wasting over goal kicks in the first half?

It wasn't his worst game, but it wasn't exactly a stellar improvement - he still needs to be replaced.

It's clear to anyone without an agenda that Balotelli's intention was to make an anti-racism statement with what he thought was harmless humour, even if his "My mom is a Jew" wasn't the best initial response he could have made from anything other than a comedy perspective.

No misery needed, just listen to YNWA before the match & you'll be buzzing.

I like how the commentary are saying Mignolet made a great save initially, even though it was still going in and only didn't because of Skrtel on the line. Then he manages to get beaten at his near post. He really is rubbish; if nothing else, his confidence right now must be shot.

Still, he'll probably get in Garth Crooks' team of the night.

It's amazing how many fouls Sterling should have had. At least 6 or 7 of the clearest fouls all waved away. I was joking about it maybe being a racist thing. Anyone would think there was an agenda going on somewhere.

That corner, where the keeper came forward, shows how nervy we are in defence these days. Against 10 men, with their keeper forward and we still have everybody back to defend with no out ball. It's pretty basic stuff - keep at least a man forward to ensure the opposition have to keep at least 1 back (usually 2) - but also to save the ball coming straight back unchallenged.
