Yeah I definitely get that. He certainly seems more moody than ever, not responding to these shittier times in the best way.  I have thought there were games where he should have been subbed before other players.  I still think it'd do more harm than good to our top 4 chances if we long term benched him though.

I hope you're right. Tonight we saw where a number of players are right now.

In a positive note. Elliott looked hungry when he came on and wanted to try and make things happen.

The two player midfield just didn't work at all though.

Would have started Elliott in place of Jota tonight and just let him chase everything for 45 minutes to try and upset them. Milner and Fabinho in there was solid but never getting anything moving in an attacking sense

Yeah wondering with Jota if it was just a chance to start him and get some more comeback minutes in, instead of doing that in another must win league game.

Can’t just be bad luck, has to be issues with conditioning/training. Feels like latter day Wenger’s Arsenal with all these injuries.

Why couldn’t it be bad luck? Players get injured.

If a lot of players are getting the same sorts of injuries, then the club would (or certainly should) look at the training regime to see if that might be a cause. I don't know if there has been a spate of similar injuries, though I think there have been a few thigh issues (which has now ruled Bajcetic out)?

Its fine because we have Arthur back now... assuming he hasn't injured himself while sat on the bench the other day or course.

Lucas has been forced into retirement due to a heart condition. Shame for him, but at least it was found and didn't end in the worst possible way.

Yep, and at least 36 is still a pretty good age to bow out for most footballers. Wonder if he’ll stay in Brazil or look to get some coaching work in Europe.

Wish him well in any case, he’s always been a good ambassador for Liverpool, and, like Kuyt, always gave his all on the pitch even when the club wasn’t at its best. Plus he’s responsible for the great gif of Klopp laughing during the derby

Quite nice to have a weekend without a (men’s) game. And with Haaland City next in a few weeks, not exactly in a hurry for our games to be back!

No women either. We are next playing on Friday in the Derby at Goodison

No Haaland in the Man City squad and I’m travelling during the game, so obviously Liverpool wins 8-0 today.

(think it’ll be a draw, congrats Arsenal on winning the league)

The close we get to kick-off, the more confident I feel. This started before hearing Haaland isn't even on the bench!

The more I think about it, the more I want Arsenal to win the league.

I feel like they’re better against open teams like us without Haaland and their more interchangeable set up. I think they’ll probably win but you never know.

An away game at 12:30 is something I can’t remember us winning for a loooong time.
