Keita is pretty much a spent force these days, I think. I've loved what he brings but it is becoming increasingly rare. Attacks always seem to break down, and that so easily could have been given as a handball. Yes, the pass following it was delicious, but ultimately I think his time with us is done. Shame, he never became what he should have been.

For Brighton, Miitoma is obviously a superstar in the making. I'm not joining in with the Fergusn love-in just yet, though. He's far too gravitationally challenged for my liking.

Liverpool were going to lose as soon as the midfield became Fabinhio, Henderson and Jones. Wolves away next and new manager bounce Everton after that, it's going to be a rough couple of weeks.

Just left watching the women get robbed at Chelsea thanks to some of the worst officiating I have ever seen at any level. Take it I didn't miss much with the men?

I know twitter is a cesspit but see all the #KloppOut clowns are out in force again. Some even calling for Gerrard to "return home", did they not see his PL manager stint? Why hasn't Twitter totally collapsed yet? (Inbefore "maybe Elon should hire Klopp to manage it trolololol)

I’ve said this before and I know it can hard to ignore but you’re literally talking about a 12yr kid in Timbuktu typing #kloppout on his Nokia for attention.

Also I don’t get why this is like LIVERPOOL ARE REALLY IN CRISIS!! now. We just lost to Brighton 3-0 last week and were completely outclassed by them. Losing a tight game 2-1 in the FA Cup to them is both unsurprising and doesn’t really signify anything we didn’t already know. People are just keen for us to be in crisis because it’s a nice story for other fans.

Also, football coverage is 24/7, so there’s always a need for narrative and stories to keep the machine ticking along.

Liverpool are probably only second to Manchester United in terms of generating clicks and pulling in interest. A poor season for either is a bog-standard one for most other clubs.

This is a poor season, no question, but the hysteria is laughable but comes with the territory, along with the weird obsession about our fortunes from diehard, match-going Exeter superfans or wherever.

We're in a dip, for sure, but coming off a cup double last year and before that some of the best seasons I can remember as a fan, I can't be too upset. Get through the season, retool, and give it another go next year.

I think that's the glaring flaw in that plan.

The board don't want to spend the kind of money that will be needed to address a number of issues across the team and I suspect that's why we've seen youth getting decent game time this season, because Klopp knows problems aren't going to solved by bringing players in. I mean, Elliott has played 30 games so far this season, that's way, way more than I think Klopp would've liked, but none of the 'established' options are working either.

Again, with the caveat that I don't watch the games, but what has happened to Henderson? He hasn't been a regular starter this season I don't think and it's not as if his legs (should) have gone, he's only 32 and his game has never been based on needing pace.

Not expecting much action today. But we really need to bring in another attacker. Leanne is back in a boot and Shanice is now out for up to two months. It's a lot to put on Katie Stengel whilst also hoping she can stay fit.

Doesn't help that she just cannot press from the front and really needs a partner to help her. Mel Lawley is great down the wing, but again doesn't have the goals in her.

Who we get and where from though? Not a clue.
