I've tried doing the same for us, again using yesterdays starting XI as team 1.

--------------------- Alisson

-- TAA ---- Gomez --- VvD --- Robertson

-------- Wijnaldum -- Keita --- Milner

--- Salah -------- Firmino----- Mane

---- Sturridge---- Solanke ---- Shaqiri

------ Lallana - Fabinho - Hendo

Moreno ---- Matip --- Lovren --- Clyne

--------------------- Karius

Not too bad on paper but not quite the same quality.

There's also still Markovic, Grujic, Klavan, Origi and Mignolet that haven't been shipped off yet so might still have a chance.

And youngsters like Ojo, Brewster and Curtis Jones that might get opportunities.

Tbh im happy thats the story and not that he ignored the twat hounding him to sign memorabilia or the kids. They shouldn't be around his car like that when hes driving and also he shouldn't be using a phone whilst driving either. He should be punished for that.

I'm surprised he's been allowed to leave, it's not like there is a lot of depth when it comes to the defense and we no longer have Can to plug the gap.

Fabinho can do a job if desperate.

Van Dijk, Lovren, Matip, Gomez and the young dude who played in the friendly. 6 including Fabinho if it gets really bad.

Grujic has signed a new deal and gone on loan to Hertha Berlin. Klopp obviously sees him as a key piece in the future.

Looks like Karius has suffered the ultimate humilation of being a second choice signing after Besiktas originally asked to get Mignolet I hope Alisson stays injury free this season.

Talks have advanced in recent days between Liverpool and Besiktas, who will pay a £2.25m loan fee, had inquired about Simon Mignolet before switching their attentions to the Belgium international’s clubmate. Mignolet has had several offers to leave this summer but, having failed to agree terms with Napoli and Fulham, he will have to stay as Alisson’s deputy if Karius decides to relaunch his career in Istanbul.

I hoped Karius would survive as he always seemed like a nice guy, but in reality it would have taken balls of steel to recover from the final. Migs though, he seemed to have priced himself out of a move, strange as out of the two he seemed desperate for first team football while Karius wanted to fight for his place.

Karius to Besiktas is a good move for all parties involved. He will improve there and some of the atmospheres will help him build character.

Crystal Panics, so far. An absolute terror of leaving their own half. Once they're broken, they'll shatter.

They're well organised though. Wan-bissaka looks some player, hes got no fear.

Not a penalty, but everyone said no to VAR, so once again... so fuck it.

Not a dive either, he tripped over Sakho genuinely but he tripped over him rather than a foul from Sakho.

Nah fuck it, all last season when we got shit penalties against us people said "if there's contact blah blah blah". There was contact and he certainly makes the most of it but whatever.

Singing sign on, booing Milner cause PVA takes him down with a nasty tackle, Zaha mouthing off about everything. Fuck em.

Offside goal last week, 'dodgy' penalty this week.

Everything is coming up Millhouse! ;)

Although I expect Oliver to try and 'even it up' at some point.

It was a definite penalty. He tried to stick a foot in to nick the back twice and missed both times, the second time he caught Salah's foot.
