Call of Duty G-G-G-Ghosts!

Call of Duty: Ghosts. Activision toyed with Call of Duty: Phantoms, but settled on Ghosts.

Steering away from "Modern Warfare" to start its own thing, though is still kinda Modern Warfare 4.

Set in the future, kind of like Black Ops, but with current generation weaponry. Some plot event forces people of that time period to use our generation weapons.

Dynamic loading screens, as in the traditional loading countdown is replaced with some kind of animated sequence (rappel in from chopper, sneak in, etc).

Movement changes. Dash->slide+shooting. Corner peeking. Prone left/right roll.

Spec Ops gone, replaced with new mode.

Team aiming for more destructive environments. Working in single player, but team is having some issues with implementing it in multiplayer.

Launching only on next generation consoles: NextBox, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Reveal sometime around the start of May.

According to NeoGAF the next-gen only rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt as it's from a different source than the rest.

Animated loading sequences, who said they were running out of ideas!

Call Of Duty: Counting Ops is set in a fantasy world where soldiers must learn basic maths skills with the aid of the world's colourful inhabitants. Also, for some reason, they have contemporary branded weapons from some of the world's best known names in human slaughter.

Where do all these spec-ops types get their balaclavas with skulls on the front from anyway? Is there a special shop? You never see them in Top Man.

It's set in the future. So presumably, they'll appear in Top Man sometime soon.

They probably will, too.

I foolishly thought it was going to be CoD does Ghostbusters or something, which although completely stupid, has far more appeal than yet more boring shooting mans in the face in a nicely scripted corridor.

I like to think the abandoned Call of Duty Phantom name had you playing as a really pissed off Michael Crawford machine gunning ethnic minorities in an opera house.

Surely a game with modern day soldiers getting to use future technology would be far more exciting that a game where future soldiers get to use our technology? Sounds like they didn't want to let go of those lucrative gun manufacturer contracts to me...
