Had some good games with the 360 guys yesterday but annoyed it's always Dawnbreaker I crash on :( The last 2 times I was doing really well too then it just locked up, annoying.

My heroic moment of the night TM was seeing Simulant in the process of being stabbed up and me shooting the would be assassin in the head. Lovely stuff.

That's a real shame as dawnbreaker is a great map. Thanks for the games last night they were fun, it's always nice to be part of a decent squad, and that save you did on me was indeed tremendous :)

Holy crap, just unlocked the ACW-R, one of my favorite guns from BF3. But how the heck are you to kill anything with that kind of recoil? It sprays bullet like there is no tomorrow, but I couldn't hit a brick wall from 5 feet.

I found it really useful (on 360) although the SG553, A91 and ACE are even better.

I must have sunk a good 10 hours into this over the weekend and I am absolutely loving it. Some real wow moments throughout.

One of my favourite levels for conquest has to be the one with the train travelling through the middle of the map. Really love it.

This game..

Any weapon tips/combos that people are finding useful / effective?

I'm finding the frequency that vehicles spawn a little annoying. Would like that to be a little less frequent... Or maybe I wouldn't mind it so much if I unlock some better rockets for my engineer.

This totally, the default spawn times seem far too frequent and take some of the strategy out of it I reckon. You need to look after your vehicles but with this it's just jump in and charge non-stop.

Still loving it though...

I'm finding the engineer weaponry to be woefully underpowered against armour. I've had numerous situations where I've hit a tank with 5 RPGs and it's still driven off. Even the wire-guided SRAW, which is the final unlock, seems to take multiple hits to get a kill, by which time the crew have often bailed.

C4 and mines are pretty much the only guaranteed way to take them out, and even then you have to place yourself in extreme risk, or rely on luck or unobservant tank pilots.

I'm actually loving the vehicle combat in this. A tank or LAV really feels like a threat now. And you cant just keep popping out to fire. You need to hide, manouvre, pick your moment then try to get them from the back or top.

A wire guided in the back will do around 35% damage and a critical hit about 50% of the time. Also, firing square on makes a big difference to firing at an angle. You need to deprogram your mind from BF3 where you could just keep popping up, firing and popping back down.

I'm so gutted they patched the reloading. I was really enjoying having to think tactically about reloads

It was an added tactical element but it's hard enough getting ammo packs as it is, if that was still in I'd be running around without any ammo whatsoever!

That's quite annoying - I use the command 'I need ammo' but despite the flashing symbol on the mini-map no one drops any :( I've started on that class now anyway so hook myself up and spread it around :)

I was spamming 'I need ammo' and chasing my own team mate and he told me to stop spamming! :P

Thats how bad it is sometimes.

One change should be made though, similar to how health works when you are a foot soldier. When under fire the repair speed should be significantely lowered, so that tanks, helicopters and what not just couldn't run around with a couple of repairbots making sure they are more or less unkillable.

That way you could force a retreat even if you couldn't fully destroy them.

Re: the ammo situation, bear in mind that Support only gets them piddly little packs for quite a while. I can't wait till I unlock the full box. I'll be dropping that baby down at every chance and reaping all the ribbons; same as teh big medic box :D

Not long now till the Saiga 12K will be gracing my grubby little mits :eyebrows:

I dont agree. If a chopper has two repair guys he SHOULD be virtually unkillable. Cooperation like that should always be rewarded. The tradeoff is that there are two less gunners on the field. Choppers are easy to avoid. Defend a point indoors and they are useless. Failing that hit it with an RPG, which is a one hit kill.

The biggest problem now is that support could quite easily just not have ammo packs. That guy you was spamming may have had claymores and airbursts.

One tip that worked on BF3, was that you could spawn as support, stick an ammo pack somewhere smart, then change to whatever class you want and it would stay there all round.
