DRIVECLUB - being put to sleep by Sony in March 2020

Club full now.

Game needs some sort of brightness/gamma setting so badly - flying blindly into a wall because you can't even tell that there's a corner coming without looking at the map is annoying I'm finding myself spending way too much time looking at the corner of the screen.

I've sent a request to join, hope that's ok, I've been playing casually since Christmas, love the game but don't get a chance to play that often. However, would love to be part of a club just to compare times etc.

Course it is fella, your casual approach sounds ideal, welcome along. Your request has been accepted and it sent you an invite to the club, so you may need to accept that. If our paths cross fine, if not, thanks for contributing, you should have plenty of beatable times to have a go at :-)

Absolutely. I find I drive much better trailing a couple of opponents, purely because I can see what's coming up ahead!

The sensation of speed even in something like the Lotus on the first Scottish race is bloody amazing!

There's a space left in "in the gob" - I just left and transferred ownership to Pelekophoros, as I've sold the game.

Its a lovely game, but GTA V is eating most of my gaming time!

Cheers, just signed up to the club. Waited for the server issues to be sorted before picking this up and looking forward to getting stuck in now.

Gah. Really tempted to get that rather than using the disc version.

Do it, I fucking love booting the game up for a few minutes to do some challenges before going out or something. The lack of messing about with discs makes it so much more immediate and I'd encourage anybody tempted to purchase the game - Evo deserve the sales.

for £40 you get this and all the DLC :o - Worth every penny.

Absolutely. I'm so close to finishing all of the accolades now and this is the first game I've ever bought a season pass for, can't wait for the latest content. It's so well supported.

Just wish there was a way for me to get the Special Edition car liveries :(

Have to say, the more I play the more I enjoy this. The way the career is done, is spot on. The different vehicle tournaments give some variation to the cars you use unlike Forza. I love the mini-challenges in the game and picking stars up. This keeps it interesting and it is perfect for a quick challenge or two before bed.

I hear the Japan DLC will be free too...superb.

I flogged my disc version to a guy at work a week or so ago for 18 quid (I'm away from my PS4 for about a month anyway) with a mind to buying it digitally... I was just waiting for a price drop. ZING!

I'm really enjoying this, though I do need to get a custom soundtrack on a USB stick because I really don't think I can deal with someone asking me how fast I want to go any more. Probably the Gran Turismo 1 soundtrack for starters.

I really kinda suck at it mind. It's definitely about memorising the tracks, and it doesn't help that the CPU drivers are FUCKING ASSHOLES.

It does need a gamma option

Working on it

If I've got the disk version installed will I have to download everything again?

Yep (Save Data works across versions though)

I hear the Japan DLC will be free too...superb.

As promised tracks are free

My biggest bugbear is that I can't find a way to remove all hud elements but the minimap and faceoff indicator things. The game looks incredible so I want as little stuff detracting from the experience as possible, but without a minimap I'm destined to slam into walls - especially given my fondness for running point to point around Norway at 17:00 with the time lapse at x30 and stormy weather up full. The road's literally impossible to see during the last few corners!

Turning the hud down to 0% is fine outside the tour - and I highly recommend doing the above and playing from the driver seat camera for some bloody amazing immersion - but also removes vital information on challenges related to gaining stars.

Are there plans for future Tour event packs to include the new tracks too? Presumable if they are free they will just be selectable via single races for the moment?

Yep :)

Here's a quick picture of JPN that I took last night:

any chance of a small schematic map of the track in the loading menu (on each track picture on the left) in online events in this january update or near future?

also i hope the Private Lobbies with still stand online if the host leaves ,the room ownership going to the next one in line. it would be disappointing ,with all these ppl getting disconnected randomly every time, if the private rooms collapse often.

Wonder if they have fixed the issue with cars behind gaining to much of an advantage with drafting in this version?

and it doesn't help that the CPU drivers are FUCKING ASSHOLES.

I doubt anything will change with the Japan track being issued (great news that its free!)

I use approx 33.33% of this game, as I only enjoy doing Time Trials. Racing is like playing Split Second again and feels as much fun as dentistry, and I have no interest whatsoever in Drift events
