You can also press X on a downloading item in the notifications bit to pause/resume.

They really do need to fix the navigation though, it's appalling if it wasn't one of the last 15 things you played. I especially loathe how deleted items stay in your library permanently so I need to scroll past endless demos and shit PS+ games I've deleted to find a game beginning with T that I haven't played in ages. Argh.

  • Downloading stuff is a lie. A 3GB game then has a 19GB update? Fuck off.

It becomes more of a lie once a game has multiple patches too. Say a game has a 5GB patch then a week later gets another one of 1GB - when you download the second one it'll show it as a cumulative amount like xx/6GB rather than just the additional amount you're downloading. Seems a really weird way of doing it to me.

You can limit the size of your library in settings and I *think* if you rebuild your database it will remove deleted entries

I didn't realize you could pause downloads. So here's my issue - I set Styx downloading the other night, it's a couple of gig or something. However, doing that also immediately triggered it to download the update, which was about the same size. I'm assuming because it wasn't already installed, the update wasn't able to be incremental, and thus downloaded the whole thing?

It's such a massive waste of bandwidth. Not that we're paying by the laser or anything, but with all the streaming that goes on in our house, plus PSN, I sometimes skirt near my monthly data cap.

I have a very loud ps4 that is about 10 months old. From retroeds post it is implied Sony will replace or repair it for free. Is that the case, does anyone have a source for that so I can ask Sony to sort it?

It isn't dust I think. The fans go mental when the PS4 is clearly working like nuts (like in Bloodborne or Witcher 3) - I reckon it's the thermal paste issue. Poor cooling leads the fans at 100%. It's been loud for several months yeah.

How do I stop my PS4 telling me about my preferred power options? It's driving me crazy.

Fucking annoying, isn't it? I have a bad feeling it's another obnoxious, unavoidable OS feature, like the Players You May Know thing which irritated me so much I had to block and delete the real-name friend I had on my list, who, on realising he'd been blocked, blocked and deleted me back on PSN and Skype in a big sulk.

That's what caused the 360 RROD according to Peter Moore.

Bad design caused that, they knew well before the X360 was commercially launched there was a problem, they just wrongly assumed it would be somehow magically fixed before launch. Engineers brought it up but were ignored. Too small a chassis, coupled with an insufficient cooling solution, was hardly surprising.

Took my broken PS4 back to game before and they where super nice about it. He opened the box to check I'd put everything in, i'd forgot the headphones, pad and charging cable "no problem, we'll just open up your replacement and get them from there"

He checked it wasn't working, made a call then got me a brand new PS4, he opened the box and removed the stuff I'd forgotten to pack and I was out of there. Apart from one thing, he left the pad in the box, so I ended up with a new PS4 with an extra pad :D

Rocket League is downloading!!!
