Haha, the fact that you put game in brackets shows that you missed the point of it, like someone who says MGS is not a game because it has lots of cutscenes. HR may not be your cup of tea at all but to some it's highly enjoyable.

Dunno if this is the right topic or w/e. Anyone having bother with Playstation app on iOS? It's logged me out and no matter how many times i press the "sign in to PSN" button it just ignores me, no prompt for password etc. Just doesn't acknowledge my presses.

As a sufferer of CSB (cripplingly slow broadband) now that we live in a world of huge day one patches for games (Elder Scrolls Online i'm looking at you 15gb!) I'd like a feature where I could download updates for games I don't yet own before I get them. As an example I'll be getting Batman next week and am reading in horror of 3.5gb day one patches. :hmm:

Wanted to watch some Sky tonight - on boot ps4 did some kind of check of files with a progress bar then went into safe mode. I've never had this before. I tried the apparent cure all of rebuilding database which it said could take hours but was over almost instantly at which point it booted into safe mode again. This time I tried the change resolution option at which point I got a message that said something like "something went wrong press X to turn off the ps4".

And that was the end of that. I used the 360 to watch sky instead. Has anybody had this and know the solution? I've pulled the power and I will try it again tomorrow but my worry now is it's going to want to scrub everything from the hdd and start again - this means I lose P.T and won't be able to re download it is that right?

edit: Tried the "initialise ps4" option this morning and it rebooted back up but just sat for about 5 minutes apparently doing nothing before the initial bootup stuff appeared. Thankfully my games appear to be intact including PT.

Guys! Far Cry 4 is free on PSN right now. Just bought it myself, for nothing. Hurry! So is The Crew. I don't know anything about The Crew. Quick!

Can you check how much online storage you have left? None of my saves are uploading anymore.

When I check using data management on PS4 it only shows PS4 saves, not Vita/PS3 saves, making data management more of an aspiration than a reality. Doesn't even give a total size of the PS4 saves.

If PS4 data management's currently borked across platforms can you do it via a PS3 or Vita?
