Having been out of the loop for local multiplayer games for a while, what 2 player ones would people recommend? I should own any that were included in PS+ but wouldn't be adverse to buying some if they're pretty cheap.

Nidhogg is also absolutely excellent. I'm not sure if it's been on PS+ or not, though.

Towerfall is still my favourite PS4 game. Great with two players and even better with more. Sportsfriends is at its best with four players but it's still wonderful fun with two. There's also two extra, hidden two player games which are worth looking into. One is a sort of wobbly-bat pong clone and there other is a mad, opponent-flipping wrestling thing. Both are hilarious.

Echoing this question, looking for local multiplayer, but have absolutely no interest in Towerfall, Nidhogg or any sports title. Any action RPGs other than Diablo 3? It's my brothers PS4 so I don't follow what's out on it.

Bit of a long shot as it's so niche, but Dynasty Warriors 8 has local split-screen co-op. Good fun if you like the genre.

Anyone else had the safe mode death loop?

I'd not heard of it before but my ps4 is just restarting all the time into safe mode.

It has been spitting discs for about 2/3 months every now and again. I guess this has just killed it.

I don't fancy rebuilding the database but I will as a last resort.

After much faffing around with various fixes, I'm almost 100% certain at this point that the disc eject thing is just because the auto-eject screw periodically works itself loose. Tightening the screw sorts it out for a month or two, but it is annoying because the screw itself is supposed to be very loose and is a little bit hard to access anyway so you can never really tell if you have tightened it sufficiently or not.

I really should send mine back before the warranty expires, but I've been hesitating because of the hassle of making sure all my save data is backed up properly; posting it off; having to pay for the postage; the fact that they do a 3 second test or something where if they can't recreate the issue they just send it back anyway without doing anything; the potential for getting a refurbished model back which has the same issue anyway; and then having to download all my games again.

Thinking of buying the Playstation headphones 2.0 for my new PS4. Anyone had a bad time with them?

Also, how are they for just watching bluray movies on the PS4?

Do you need wireless?

If not head over to game stop and pick up a bargain Astro set - wired but sound quality pisses all over the wireless ones and on the offers they have they are barely any dearer.

They had the A40 with mixamp for 99 quid, sadly all gone but the A30 set for £90 is still a hell of a buy https://www.gamestop.co.uk/Other%20Products/Games/44878/astro-a30-audio-system

If you have good headphones you can plug them straight in and have amazing sound for movies and games (the set that come with this are ok, have a mic for comms)

It's been fine for me. Streaming is near perfect. I just wish there were more games on the beta that I actually wanted to play. Looks promising for the future though if the price is right. I'd only be willing to pay if the price to rent for a month was the same or less than what I could buy the game second hand for.

You had to apply to take part a little while back, I don't think anyone's invited into it randomly but I could well be wrong.
