Are the Xbox sticks that comfortable on the PS4 pad? I don't find them particularly comfortable on the bone pads as it is.

I really like them on the PS4 but I also really like them on the Xbone pad too!

It really is piss easy, i don't think you could fuck it up really - worst thing would be not plugging a ribbon cable back in but you just open it and put it in again!

It's really easy; the hardest bit was getting the two halves of the shell to separate. Did both of my controllers in 15 minutes - the Xbox sticks are much better for me.

My 2nd controller has gone back to Sony for repair, faulty left stick.

Whilst I've still got the warranty I'll use it.

Wonder if Sony will still support these pad issues after the year warranty?

Just don't bother putting the little springs back in for the R2 and L2 triggers. Better without IMO.

Ok well I've ordered the stick covers, if I don't like those which I probably won't I will try the xbone sticks and then blame Shimmy if I fuck my controller

You shoulda said if you had feet that cold, i have a set of unused stick covers you coulda had - they had about 2 mins use before finding they are awful

Oh that's really nice of you but I had already ordered the covers and as the bone sticks are sold out on amazon right now I thought I'd wait. Seriously though thanks man.

Edit: Email actually says it's the trial so not sure what's going on, can't hurt to buy it at least and see what happens. Playing the game everything is locked, but when you click to unlock it takes you back to the store page where it's free.

Better test would have been dropping the pads too... My PS4 one cracked when I dropped it from waist height....

Are you a giant?! I've dropped mine several times 'cos I'm a clumsy fucker but luckily my pad has survived.

My old wired 360 pad which I use for PC gaming has also been through about five years of abuse and it's still going strong!
