What does the bold bit actually mean? Signed into the PS4, I logged in yesterday but my password is saved on the console so will I be ok?

Or should I sign out & back in?

It means that the system provides your console with an authenication token when you log in, and that token doesn't expire when you switch the console off - it expires after a period of time. Therefore, even if the token-service is offline when you try to go online during the maintenance period, your existing token may still be valid, and you can be authenticated using that.

Or at least that's the theory. YMMV.

I played at least 5 mins of knack and immediately disliked it - having someone mention it alongside crash bandicoot nails it as a game i never want to play, i thought they were dire outside CTR but then i guess we played Mario 64 before them so hardly fair!

If it was on PS+ i would give it another go or let the kids try it, still i would much rather stuff like velocity 2x or Isaac to 'big' games like that!

What did you think of your time with Knack, out of interest, Boozy?

It looked utter shite to me and as one of only two titles being offered as full price exclusives at launch a complete insult. I have played a wee bit of Resogun, it was excellent if that helps any insinuated bias on my part.

I've played the best looking multi plats on PS4 this year, and surprisingly the most multiplayer. Im glad I didn't hold to my plan of just getting one system this year though as the balloon of Sony hot air promises slowly deflated through the year, only compounded by some great MS exclusives.

Got 50 pounds worth of psn credit to load up for gta 5 or far cry 4 but keep getting error message that the code is invalid . I take this is due to maintenance on psn today?So if i miss midnight before ordering i will miss pre order stuff as well.

Only kidding. I think Crash is a fair comparison really. It has some near identical sections. Weird though, as I never liked Crash at all.

They need a good 2015, and by all accounts they should have a decent number oof exclusive releases ready for the year. Off the top of my head there's:

  • The Order
  • Bloodborne
  • Uncharted 4
  • Ratchet & Clank
  • Rime
  • Let It Die
  • The Tomorrow Children
  • Until Dawn
  • Persona
  • No Man's Sky

Wait, since when did No Mans Sky become ps4 exclusive.

New SCEA head Shawn Layden has given a rather extensive interview with Venture Beat, which you can read at:

He comes across okay I think. No bomb shells or anything of particular note at all really, but he does talk about how happy they are with the use the share button is getting, and that we'll be getting some new announcements at the December event, which celebrates 20 years of Playstation.

I still have never managed to share what I want to share using the share button, every time something novel has happened and I've pressed share, I don't have a video of what I was just doing...

I know there was some weirdness with how it works but I haven't got a scooby :P

I think they fixed a lot of those problems with the 2.0 update, but I've also read that a database rebuild fixes the issue where it just doesn't record game footage.

Aha.

Maybe I'll give it another go then. GTAV and even Far Cry 4 could be great for some vids of unintentionally amusing mishaps.
