I think Sony will win November too. Too much momentum.

Yep. Think its one of those things once the "core" gamers (early adopters) have made their choice the next wave of buyers tend to buy what their mates have and so on. As a FIFA/CoD playing box its fine for most.

However as a "gamers" machine at the moment? Well I'm finding its leaving a lot to be desired although it will come good in the end I'm sure.

Don't stick with it, the gameplay is incredibly sub par. I gave up about halfway in and swapped controls to youtube mode. Look up 'Last of us Movie' on youtube and just watch the thing - the accolades are for the story, not how it plays. Saves a hell of a lot of time too, turning a 16 hour game into a 3 hour one with all the fat cut out.

I fully expect negs for this given all those 'best game ever I was literally really really sad in places' accolades it somehow picked up, but the gameplay aspect of TLOU was a complete turnoff for me.

If you want a great stealth game, I'd recommend Splinter Cell Blacklist which was sadly overlooked by everyone, or Ground Zeroes which is £7.50 on PSN right now.

Happy to oblige with your neg. Occupying the role is what makes it. If you really must only watch it, watch a good friend play it, at least you can go through it together that way.

Surely as a "gamers" machine it is one of the best out there to date... Mainly because of all the games. Not just big budget titles from major studios but a constant stream of games.

Same could be said of the XB1 too, another console that has a good stream of games that mix things up a bit and doesn't rely on huge budgets from major studios.

On and the Wii U, which also has a decent stream of games, plus the best first party line up of all.

God I love games.

I tried to sign up for PS+ on Wednesday on my PS4. I was logged into my account on my computer but it told me I had to re-enter my password for security reasons. I couldn't remember my password so I hit the reset password button and reset my password. When I tried to log on with this new password it kept failing. I opened a call with Sony and got a mail back saying they had recieved my mail blah, blah, blah. And that was the last I heard from them. 48 hours and no update from them on helping me spend money in their shop. #justsonythings

Don't worry they'll probably just ban your account for life or something.

True. Think its just I was wanting a decent driver to play TBH. Enjoyed a lot of the PS+ content on the PS4 over the past 10 months and lately Destiny. Just the whole DriveClub saga has been frustrating especially after waiting for so long and it continues to have problems. In fact the only reason I really discovered the XBO was because of Forza 5 and Horizon 2 and my desire to play some decent racing games. Thought I'd been patient enough with Sony and PS4 TBH to get one delivered in 12months.... Really didn't want two consoles this generation either. But here I am. At least I can now enjoy the best of what both have to offer.

I found The Last of Us much more enjoyable after finishing Normal and switching to Grounded difficulty. The lack of Listen Mode or checkpoints made stealth more of a focus and far more tense. Being limited in resource made me experiment more where in Normal I'd have just fought my way out.

The Left Behind story has combat scenarios made a little more interesting with mixed groups of human and infected enemies you can draw into killing each other by throwing a single glass bottle to draw their attention to a mutual point. Much like the main game however these sections are clearly set up to be played that way. More chances to create that sort of carnage would have been great.

I gave up on The Last of Us after about 3-4 hours. I hate stealth in games. I remember that period in the late 90's to early 2000's where every single game seemed to have a shit stealth section tacked on. For me, stealth is no fun. Shame as I was enjoying the story.

I hate stealth games but TLOU was a bit different really you could use a mixture of stealth or all guns blazing approach. Although it was an easier game IMHO to play using stealth like tactics. Really enjoyed it think it was just a great story and the characters had some depth to them.

I had a PS3 in the first year and it was dire, the PS4 has had a much better first year - as many problems as it has it is sill fun with plenty of great games on it.

It seems pretty bloody similar to me. Anything worth playing was multiformat, and the exclusives were almost all disappointing.

If you didn't have a PS4 this year, you'd have still have been able to have just as good a time with the same games on PS3/360, I'd say that makes it a pretty poor year really. Maybe you see it as a good year for games, but it's a bad year for PS4.
