PlayStation 4 Console Thread

I have demons souls, and dark souls, and frankly, it's not my cup of tea. I prefer being able to move with some fluidity, immediacy. And in both games I always felt like I was struggling with button lag and uninterruptible animations.

So I dunno, it wasn't even on my radar.

I haven't played DS2. I also didn't like dragons dogma, and I don't have bound by fire.

The Boozy Brain Train

1: Google sony/ms war news

2: Browse collection of gifs/jpegs to post along with the above

3: Gets mad when the above cycle is questioned

4: Profit? (if negs were currency)

Bit disingenuous. There' a fuck ton of stuff boozy posts with no negative comment for both PS4/XBone/360.

I've no interest in Bloodbourne personally (I thought it would be more like Resi 4, rather than the DMC end of the scale), so it's kinda amusing that there's been another title delayed on the PS4. It does seem to have rather a lot of them.

Posting this again because it has gotten lost in the recent noise

Anyone has issues with the left stick on their controller?

When playing Destiny you click & press forward on the left stick to run & keep it held to continue running. I seem to stop running within a couple of seconds & have to try again.

And yeah, delays always suck. But if that's what the game needs, that's what it needs.

Boozy's "Sony fucked you again lolol" is just fucking retarded. Yeah, he sometimes posts videos or recent news about games without being a dick. But 90% of the time, he's fighting the console wars by himself or simply replying with "Fuck off". Far from disingenuous I'd say.

Also if you have sprinted for ages and stopped there is a delay before you can start sprinting again. Which some may confuse with a dodgy left click.

Did not know there was a cooldown on the running? I've only been playing the game for 100+ hours

My PS4 experience has been mixed to be honest. I bought it for Driveclub and Unity and got burned hard with Driveclub as I pre-ordered. Dodged a bullet with Unity as I was going to pre-order that but didn't because I didn't want a repeat of the Driveclub situation, but to be honest I just wished they had released a good game. My favourite game for 2014 was on PS4, but it was Black Flag so not really a PS4 experience. I do have a pre-order on the go, but it's for GTA V which I already have on PS3.

Then there are the hardware issues. Disc keeps ejecting and I have to do that screw fix/reboot thing. Update 2.0 broke Rest mode. Today for some reason when I booted by PS4 is had some problem it needed to report, I couldn't make sense of it but it clearly had a problem overnight when it tried to download/upload something.

I wouldn't mind as much if it was a cheap hobby, but it's a pretty expensive bit of kit with very expensive games. Everyone involved really need to up their game, it has been a bit shit really. I'm not asking for the moon on a stick, I just want my console to work properly and for the game I buy to do likewise. If things did what they said on the box I'd be happy.

If only Ronseal made consoles.

You should get your console replaced, it's clearly faulty.

Are you being serious? I know the 2.0 update had caused the issue with rest mode and although I updated to the 2.02 or whatever I just assumed today's issue was a hangover from that. The disc ejecting thing hasn't happend in a few weeks but then I don't use it much, it's just that when I looked online it seemed to be a common issue and Sony's website even has a section on it. I think that's where I got the screw fix instructions from (there's a little screw which I think doubles as the manual eject if you get a disc stuck). It may not even be the screw thing that fixes it since I have to disconnect the console to do that anyway.

It's such a glitchy console that I just assumed it was par for the course and would be fixed with an update. Ironically my thumbpad hasn't had any of the issues a lot of you seem to have had.

Yes, I've never had any of the problems you've mentioned hyah:
