Multiplayer is fixed. Has been for months, but the latest patch made it even tighter.

Not sure about the single-player save game issue.

I lost my single-player save a few weeks back, but a couple of days later it restored all the unlocked chapters, presumably as progress was synced with EA's servers. So I ended up just losing the mid-level checkpoint, no big deal.

As you say, the MP is sorted now.

I wasn't saying 217MB was a problem, just that it seemed a bit large for what I would have thought was just a patch for the rest mode thing but it seems that isn't how they work, so a 'you people' was slightly unnecessary.

Good to hear it seems to be working for people so far though.

Is it possible to add people via the PSN site? Or can you only do that via the app, when not at your actual console? I must say, the PSN site isn't the best designed, plus the data is a bit suspect... says the last thing I played was Dust, but I've only been on Watch Dogs for the last few days.

That's something of an understatement...

It always makes me laugh (cry) when I sign into the PSN site, then click to buy something and I then have to immediately sign in again with the same details to access the Sony Entertainment Network site.

Hmm, it opens a new tab and picks up the authentication from PSN for me, but still, it's really rather poor.

If I could crassly summarize almost a year of PS4 ownership, having been entirely 360 last gen, it would be: Sony make excellent hardware, but can't write software to save their lives.
