In the near future, as you're mauled to death by a displaced polar bear that has sought refuge from the rising seas by taking up residence in your living room, you'll perhaps regret those few seconds you've saved by using standby. On the other hand I suppose you've got a better chance of sharing the moment with us via Twitch as you scream "Xbox, Broadcast", and it boots up just before you disappear out of shot behind the coffee table.

Not if you grew up in the 70s where almost every TV ad break seemingly included a Public Information Film warning you that you'd burn to death if you so much as left a plug within six feet of a socket overnight. It's a result of this sort of thing that I have twenty eight fire extinguishers in the house and wear a life-vest to bed, just in case...

Does anyone know of anywhere online that sells game cases and printed sleeves?

Want to get a couple of the promos we have matching other discs rather than just in the jewel cases they come in.

I am sure I used cdcovers.cc in the past, but the site looks dead now and to be honest, I don't have a printer anyhow, so ideally looking for somewhere that'd sell the full thing.

What can you with Playstation 4 camera ? on PS4. (Apart from video conferencing) I got PS3 camera, is it any use for PS4.

Not much apart from play on the playroom, or something with twitch.

And no, the PS3 camera is not compatible.

The Xbox One and especially the PS4 use a stupid amount of power, even in standby mode.

I'm going to make sure I only watch Netflix on the Wii U whenever possible too.

If you're not switching all of your consoles, surrounds systems, amps, TV etc. off at the wall whenever they're not in use, then you're the ones in the wrong.

Have you tried looking on Amazon? I know the US version sells the universal game cases with printed covers.

Admittedly, it'd suck quite a lot without Kinect. You've got the pinning functionality, but so much is based around voice recognition that I wonder if a later dash update will add headset support?

I have a Kinect free version. One of my mates was showing me the navigation via Kinect and it seemed fairly seamless, but it just feels a chore to use voice controls. I've never bothered on PS4, despite having the camera.

I see that Playstation TV box is out in the US. Any idea if it'll play vita games purchased on ps+? I'm already sold on the idea of streaming the ps4 to the other TV for when the kids aren't using it.

You'll need a memory card to download the games to and it has to be supported by the PSTV.

I just thought it was something someone's Uncle did or something. You know the sort that sticks squares of carpet to put under their sofa legs.

Anyone else had the CE-35918-6 error? I'm only getting it when I try to load Destiny.

I Googled the error and none of the suggestions have fixed the problem.

Anyone?

You might have tried it already but go into safe mode & rebuild database or another option delete the game & re download in case it's corrupted

I know this is the wrong thread, but as we're on the issue....how does kinect work if the game you're playing has been designed to use the '10%' horsepower that not having it frees up? Is it easy/convenient to actually switch it off before loading a game?

I believe it's entirely automatic.

I suspect voice activation remains, but the gesture recognition is as predictably shit as it ever was.

(Well, it's quite a bit better, but still not suitable for a UI).

It's my wife's uncle. We stayed there for a few nights over summer.

He turns off his wifi router when he's not using it

He unplugs the kettle and microwave... no just turns the switch off, unplugs it.

He labels his drawers and cupboards

If he had a next gen console, he'd probably power it right down too like a mental.

They were the first things I tried. My last resort was to put the PS4 on its side and it worked. Could've been coincidental that it worked.
