Ok looking at buying a new TV for the PS4 but which should I go for?

Panasonic is £399

Sony is £499

I don't care about 3D but the Sony is 400hz & the Panasonic is 100Hz. If I go for the panasonic I can spend a little bit more & get a soundbar also for the TV.

Help me decide please !!

Fuck sake Chelmsford. Get your act together and send out our delivery info or I'm going to have to write a very strongly worded letter to my MP.

Edinburgh hasn't got its shit together either. If I don't get anything by 10:00 I'm going down there commando-style to take out anyone in between me and my parcel.

Mines arriving between 13:15 and 14:15. Looks like the choice to book Monday off work instead of Friday was the right one.

Although handy that I'm "working" from home today.. What a coincidence!

...and happy PS4 day everyone! The total enthusiasm in this thread lately has been a real treat!

Are you far from Aberdeen? You could go and pick it up maybe.

50 Miles out. Sold my car recently as after having moved house I wasn't actually using it.

50 miles in, about 3-5 miles of local transport to the warehouse (assuming it's in Altens), and double that for the return. Also, I can't leave the house today, rendering it moot. :/

The Park Royal DPD guys are still finishing off their bacon sandwiches by the looks of things. No slot yet.

I've got 2 coming from there (housemate's as well), nothing on either tracking info since they reached the depot!

Piotr is currently making delivery number 2, you are delivery number 8.

Piotr is approximately 30 minutes away from you.

Come on Piotr, you unpronounceable bastard!!!

I'm guessing telling you how to pronounce it won't solve your main problem? :)

Those using a US account to buy cheap games, does it need to be the main account on the console or can it be the secondary account? I'm considering it, mainly for remote play goodness.

You can change whatever account you want to be your primary and the games will be available to play there too. (So I have read anyway, will soon find out)

The London launch was fantastic and I didn't get mugged for my PS4 outside.

Getting to meet and chat with both Andrew House and Shahid Ahmad gave me all the confidence that the next gen is in safe hands with Sony.

What a launch night and what a shiny, smooth and downright sexy console this is. Enjoy this day everyone!

I really like Panasonic as a brand and I always buy Panasonic TV (plasma gt60) and here that these are pretty goo. But also hear that the sony is a great set too. I think unless your very anal then both will be good and depends on what you're coming from tv wise and you will need to mess with the set up it get a decent pic as no tv looks great from the box.

Chelmsford woke up. Between 3 and 4 though. Could be worse I suppose. My girlfriend was convinced it would be delivered by a bloke called Jon and very weirdly she was right.

Ah shit... still no update from DPD Chelmsford which isn't good if yours is that late.

Decided to have a trip to the shops this morning on the off-chance.

In Sainsburys the entire PS4 shelf was completely bare. The guy in there told me that Smyths apparently had 60 non-pre-order units though, so I went up there for when it opened. Sadly, only pre-order units were available. The same thing at the Currys a couple of doors down.

Looks like my original plan of holding off until the new year is likely going to be the one I have to stick to.

I was slightly gutted when another hopeful buyer told me he'd missed the last unit at Morrissons this morning by a couple of minutes (at 7:20am). I'd decided to not bother with Morrissons as last time I was in there they had no indication whatsoever that they would be stocking them. Bah!

The incomparable John just delivered mine! I would take a photo and post it up here but such wizardry is beyond me, so I'll just tell you it looks like all the other photos posted up, except more three dimensional.

For those with an interest in such things, in the way of small-talk I said to John, "You must have a few of these to deliver today", and he responded that he had indeed. He also offered up the fact that they've received three times as many PS4s as they did Xbox Ones. Make of that what you will.
