If anyone else is up early, you can reserve a PS4 online for collection at your local Argos.

No Mega Packs available near me, unfortunately. If I can find one I might have to dip into the savings to pick one up, then trade in my standalone console — coming from ShopTo later today — at CEX whilst they're offering silly money. Naturally that plan can only end badly for me.

Got to bed around 2:30am in the end.

Man the UI is nice and simple. At times I wish there was more on screen at once but it's much better than the PS3. The install and downloads are nicely done automatically.

Battlefield 4 looks fucking incredible. Didn't get any server errors either so if it's working I'm going to be well happy.

Absolutely shattered. Just a day of work to get through, a pad to hunt down then it's back at it tonight.

Where's going to be the cheapest place to buy an optical cable in a northern mill town? Tesco don't have any, and I resent paying Currys prices.

I wonder if the plethora of B&M Bargains type shops would have one? Hmmm. Disappointed in myself that I didn't prepare better for this.

Oh well, it's in the depot in Preston! When does the gps tracking start? I assume when it leaves. Getting excited now.

I'm a little jelly, I wen to Tescos at 0300 but none in - Half hearted attempt to get one but I was secretly excited with fingers crossed!

Tesco were taking the piss last night. I wrote in my last post that I waited for hours in the queue and was number 68, and they only had 65 PS4s. Fair enough, I wasn't too bothered. People asked the manager if they'd be getting more, he said "no chance". So I got home and went on the Tesco website and what did I see? PS4 available to order, pick up tomorrow from the very same store I'd just been to.

If it's not urgent I will have a spare black DS4 I'm looking to sell for £40.. It can be sent by Saturday.

Oh my god, my parcel is in cumbernauld (34 miles away) and left for delivery at 6:30am, this is totally getting here soon, why am I working!!!!!

Norwich Longwater Argos have 8 in stock, 4 with knack and 4 with killzone - tempting but I will be strong...

DO IT. You know you want to. Go on. You'll be happier with a PS4, join the hype, join ussssssssssssssss

I got a Hangout from a mate at Asda at 6am this morning and he got one. He is just a COD gamer as well. Can't believe he got his before me!

I'm at work already. Gonna slip out around 2:30pm I think so hopefully the PS4 will be delivered around 4pm and then I'm justified in going to work.

Morning has broken! All that's left until I become a PS4 owner is an undetermined amount of time quietly sat by the window with no toilet breaks watching the traffic until Mr/Mrs DPD man/woman arrives.

Only person I can think of who's a gamer is Pulsemyne from this forum, but he's 110% Nintendo (though he DOES have an x360, shhhhh....), so that's a no.

Edit - Bit of a crap interview. The presenter seems to be Mr negative and is looking for points to attack on, such as "why are games cheaper in the US than UK?"

All in all a bit shit.
