So... how bad are Amazon Logistics?

In my experience, they're... unpredictable. I've had several deliveries from them with no issue whatsoever, but for both the last two, I've waited at home all day only to receive a text mid-afternoon telling me that they couldn't deliver it because no one was home, and they couldn't leave it with a neighbour, even though I leave in a block of nearly 40 flats and there's always loads of people about during the day. This happened twice in a row with one delivery, which only turned up on the third attempt after I phoned amazon and gave them very specific instructions to leave it with a neighbour. To be honest, I suspect it's just a crap driver for my area, so you'll probably be fine.

They are, of course, delivering my PS4 tomorrow, so that should be fun. Sorry, did I say fun? I meant nerve-shreddingly suspenseful.

Ugh, can visualize a meeting room scene here. Idiots in suits talking about how the current audience are the hardcore fans and discussing why having an xbox1 appeals to them and someone else mentions something they heard somewhere about how these fans like owning technology ahead of others as it gives them validation. Then these thoughts merged into the idea of 'Lets make these potential gamers feel privileged and ahead of everyone else by having the latest new cool thing.

Man, Shopto are really cocking this up for me.

Had to call them again (3rd time this week), standard 20 minute wait on the phone, finally speak to someone to inform them that they haven't even set my pre-order to processing yet. He literally presses a button and I get the order receipt. He tells me it will still be delivered for tomorrow, so I believe him and hang up thinking this might actually come off.

Then I realise that while they have now finally started to process the PS4 I ordered in June, that copy of NFS is still sat there marked as pre-ordered. Why they cant just process it all and stick it in one DPD package I dont know :facepalm:

Edit: PS4 dispatch email confirmed now too - amazing how quickly they can get these things moving when you call them. I think I may end up with no games still mind.

If I can be arsed tonight, I'm going to round up all my stray 360 games (I've got a fair few knocking about) and do a big trade-in at Game tomorrow. They are going to fucking LOVE me coming in with shit like Fifa 11 and Tom Clancy's End War. (I do also have GTA V and BF4, so hopefully will get more than £3 total).

I don't think they have NFS in stock. It wasn't in the "In Stock" section earlier. I cancelled and got it from simply games instead.

PS3->PS4. So here's what I did.

Went to https://www.borderlinx.com/ and got a US address

Went to Amazon.com

Bought Battlefield 4 PS3 digital code (checked out with my UK credit card and the US address from borderlinx as my billing address)

Logged into https://store.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com/ with my US psn account (which I had previously)

Redeemed the code

Bought AC3 PS3 digital code (with $5 discount from BF4 order automatically applied)

Redeemed the code

Bought $20 PSN digital code

Redeemed the code

Went to the PS3|PS4 section of the US PS Store

Added both upgrades to my cart

Checked out with PSN credit

I've bought creed and a $10 upgrade code, when i try to do the upgrade i'm told that i need to purchase an upgrade from p3 to ps4 but it says unavailable :(

Live in Maidstone in Kent, the only saving grace is that the Asda that is also doing a midnight launch with free stock is only down the road from the Tesco, would prefer the club card points mind you haha

Small world, same here!

I not queuing anywhere or pressing F5 frantically on a website, nor sitting all day in-front of a door for a courier to turn up at about 5pm.

If I am feeling impulsive tomorrow if there is a machne within easy grasp I may be tempted, but otherwise will wait!

Ah thanks. I might just pop out tomorrow then and buy it in a shop somewhere. Im too frightened to change anything on the shopto site until tomorrow just in case it affects the PS4 order...which is actually now officially with DPD :omg:

I did that this week with my 360, PS3, Wii and a couple of Wii U games in Grainger Games. Scored 488 quid in credit.

About 4am, if it's being couriered and you're in the south east. I really wouldn't worry.

Well that was easy. pre-ordered one from argos instore to collect tomorrow. Sadly, its the Knack bundle, which I don't want. i am going to head to Tesco after the Swans game. They have 70 available for walk in customers.

I'll pass the Argos bundle onto some desperate parent tomorrow.
