No, it works, I bought $120 of credit only yesterday.

Try again Charazurebebebebbb. I used my UK Amazon login, added a $50 digital code (you definitely picked digital?), went to pay, and the confirm button was greyed out (as it was my uk billing address), changed to a US one in Alaska (no sales tax) and it worked.

Did you change your deliver address or your billing address? My main address is set as a Chinese takeaway in New Hampshire but it's not letting me play.

Aha! Changed billing address and it's worked! No idea why it asks to manually input card details every goddamn time though.

EDIT then again, maybe not

"Some Game and Software downloads go through extra verification that may take up to 4 hours.
This process is in place to prevent unauthorized orders on your account."

Yeah, I was just looking to get 12 months of PSN on my UK account and was wondering if I could get the $30 deal (if it happens) to upgrade.

No, US PSN codes only work on the US store. Best thing for UK is to check for deals, like Shopto, or wait until the UK One Year + 3 Months free offer comes up (and it comes up every year) and buy then. Amazon are doing some Black Friday deals in the UK store, so there could well be a PSN+ subscription discount tomorrow.

Playstation plus Vita bundles, available from tonight http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-11-28-sony-confirms-ps4-and-vita-bundles-for-under-500. It sounds like Sony are just asking retailers to throw them together for now, until they get an official bundle ready. They should have had these ready for launch, the tools, but I guess they want to catch that wave of midnight hype.

Maybe, maybe every Covent Garden queue will get a Vita thrown in for free, like they did with the Bravias at PS3 launch.

Edit: "Sony UK has worked with retailers to encourage what it calls a "soft bundle" that includes both consoles. Some shops won't be able to offer the deal because of PS4 stock availability, but the expectation is most will from tonight alongside the launch of the PS4 in Europe."

I guess forcing Vita bundles, or putting them in with PS4s that takes away a launch day PS4 from somebody not wanting to buy Vita could be more than a little shitty.

"As for availability, the PS4 and Vita bundles will start to show up from tonight. "It's starting to happen now," Gara said this morning.

"If you look at offers at retail from launch - and others may introduce it slightly later - but over the coming weeks. It has to be a little bit determined by stock and the allocations and the pre-orders. If a retailer has all of their stock up to a certain date pre-ordered, they can't offer this right away. They have to come into some free stock.

So, slightly staggered timing. But the offers to buy a Vita when you buy a PS4 will be live as of tonight."

Gara added that while shops will get creative with their offers, Sony's expectation is you won't have to pay more than £499 for the two consoles.

"Retailers will package things around it or add certain things in. But as a base price we think that's quite compelling.""

Following the successful launch of PS4 in North America on the 15th November, we have seen an unprecedented influx of players onto PSN. When we launch in Europe on Friday, once again, we are expecting record sales and record numbers of people logging onto PSN at similar times, alongside the North American players already on PSN.

We want to make sure that your online experience is positive. To help ensure that this happens, we have made the decision to switch off a couple of features for European customers on day one. These features will then be switched back on a few days later, once the intensity of launch day calms down.

The features we are temporarily disabling are:

  • What’s New – Discover and engage with all of your friends’ PS4 related activity
  • Content Information Screen – See friends’ activity and information specific to the title you are looking at
Not to worry, all of the other features of PSN will be fully available on day one. You’ll be able to play online multiplayer games with friends and your gaming community, get trophies, make friends and share videos and live broadcast your games so you can have a great online gaming experience.
Seems pretty sensible to me, those do seem like things that would hammer the service.
