PlayStation 4 Console Thread

Found a shop selling PlayStation 4 plus Killzone for £450. I said, 'Are you charging £100 for Killzone?' and he said, 'No, well... yeah... it's the price of the bundle.' I suppose that's legal? In a "It's worth what someone's willing to pay" kind of way? I politely declined, even though he is selling them TODAY.

Nope, it isn't.

The "what's new" section is in-app, the friends section is in-app, the settings section is in-app, the trophies section is in-app, the profile section is in-app. All the notifications are in-app. Whenever there's a video or a screenshot shared, they display in-app. The store button redirects to the mobile version of the SEN store, which works fine. Because why have two front-ends for the same store on the same device?

Because I want to buy games and mark them for download etc with PS+ without leaving the app. Just a personal preference. I hate apps that fuck off to the website for some stuff and not others.

If you're getting the console from them as well then I think they're packing it in together.

I am getting the console as well but preordered Need for Speed after they charged me for the console and two other games, so it has become a separate order. I just assumed it would be sent out today with Royal Mail to make sure it was here by Friday.

So what should we expect from Shopto/DPD tomorrow just to try and pre-empt any panic? An email? A text? Will DPD message us to let us know they've picked it up to deliver on Friday etc?

I feel like a complete fool having issues over a bloody email...but please send it Shopto, or at least update that PROCESSING to something else.

CALM DOWN. You'll get an email and/or text tomorrow evening. Then you'll frantically stick your tracking number into the DPD site and there'll be no update. THAT'S NORMAL. You won't see any activity on that until early-mid morning on Friday.

At that point your update will reveal that your driver is Baz, that your box is delivery 632 of 632 and that Baz is approximately two-and-a-half weeks from you.

I know it is irrational... My first ever launch day (usually had to wait a few months at least).

My DPD person is usually a middle aged woman named Paula. I don't know if I can trust Baz!

Are shopto not sending out PS4 games till tomorrow then? I have a copy of Need for Speed preordered and there has been no movement on it, which is unusual.

Ha! They've not done anything with my Need for Speed either. You and I must be on some Shopto shit list.
