PlayStation 4 Console Thread

Guys help me out here, cos I'm, like, schvitzing.

My order status says "pre-ordered", and underneath that it says "your order is due to be delivered on the 29th. Before then, most likely on the 28th, it will go to 'processing' and then shortly after that to 'shipped'. Everything is in hand, don't worry. This is exactly what is meant to happen. Nothing bad is happening. You will get your PlayStation. It's coming when we said it would."

It's been like this for days. WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS MEAN, HAVE I LOST MY PREORDER?

I think it means that your order is due to be delivered on the 29th, and before then, most likely the 28th, which is tomorrow, it will go to processing, and then after that shipped. Sounds like everything is in hand, so I wouldn't worry. That seems to be exactly what is meant to happen; nothing BAD is happening, and you'll get your Playstation when they said you would.

It most certainly is. When you click on anything it opens up the "Complete action using" dialogue and offers a choice of web browsers. (This is on Android by the way, no doubt it is indeed a proper app on iOS).

I've been using it on Android since it came out in the US. It doesn't do this. What are you clicking on?

Edit - just saw your other posts. Here's how it's supposed to work:

Thats been worded to look like that but I think that that is a before xmas pack.

The 'launch day' ones are the bundles with lots of games.

Well it had a big "launch day stock" banner on it. Presumably some of their units were freed up due to people cancelling/being unable to pay.

It's moot now, anyway: sold out.

It was definitely in stock a few minutes ago. I was trying to order one, but it failed because they won't deliver orders over £350 to anywhere but the billing address and I'll be at work on Friday. Ah, well.

A shame but since I'm paid up till some time towards the end of 2014 I'm not too fussed at 2 weeks :)

In other news I got a game of FIFA 14 with a random in Game this afternoon and having been gifted a few pennies I decided "what the hell" and ordered myself a copy of that too because despite my initial feeling of it being a high rez texture pack of the PS3 version it plays a really nice solid feeling game of football. Is it possible to add that and AC4 to the spreadsheet without me breaking it again?

Trolling is trying to start an argument, not pointing out the obvious insanity of the thread.

Argument starting is but one facet of trolling. Some would call his post sarcasm, but it's standard fare for MID.

Besides, I'm a strong believer that launch week insanity is a must and all part of the fun. If you don't want peoples delivery status updates then you should keep well clear, or at least accept them in silence. Why not let people have a little fun for a few days?

Anyway, Ubisoft and EA have reduced their prices a bit

Not amazingly cheap but no longer costing more than the Xbone versions and £5-8 cheaper than before. I'm still not buying them at those prices though (£7 cheaper for ACIV on Amazon) and I suggest others equally avoid doing so.

Is all sarcasm trolling? My post along the same lines was pretty sarcastic too.

I don't see how pointing out that we're being silly is stopping us having fun. If it's just having fun, we shouldn't mind it being pointed out that it's not particularly important.

Or to put it another way, what is it about posting delivery updates that is inherently more important and more allowable than pointing out that panicking about delivery status is a bit mad? Why do the preorder posters get to decide what's OK in the thread?
