I'm torn as to whether to bother or not.

With cloud saves how easy do we think it will be to do this next year some time.

Oh, part of me wishes I hadn't cancelled my pre-order. Launch day fun and all that. My head knows I did the right thing, but my videogame heart has taken control and wants to know if there is any chance of getting one for Friday from anywhere. Not that I'm getting one, of course, but, you know... Just in case...

I've replaced HDD's (320gb in my case) on my PS3 and with the cloud saves etc it was flawless. didn't lose anything. Re-downloaded the games i wanted to play (marked what I needed and let the PS3 do it overnight automatically on its update schedule). I'm definitely going to wait a while before changing the HDD. Gives me time to see what happens with early adopters. I'm sure there's going to be tales of certain HDD models having little niggles.

Yeah I kind of agree.

I think I'll leave it as I'm not flush with cash at the

moment and by the time I could be struggling for space next year the drives should be a bit cheaper.

Here is my middle-aged, middle-class version of "buying one and then smashing it in front of the queue".

I pre-ordered from Amazon ages ago, not really sure why, I just woke up after a pub night and found the email. Decided not to bother cancelling it. So it's to be delivered on Friday. I will be at work. When I get home I might have a look at it in its box quickly, but anewman and his missus are coming over for dinner, so I won't be doing anything with it. Then the next morning I can't do anything with it until a friend comes over to help me get it set up - we have to move my enormous TV unit away from the wall to get behind it and plug everything in. Finally it'll probably be ready to switch on at about lunchtime.

At that point, we're going to the pub.

I am more nervous about getting the confirmation email on Thursday then actually receiving the console.

It's a console, not a diagnosis :lol:

You people need to chill out, you're going to be nervous wrecks by Friday, completely unable to play the PS4 due to the extreme shakes. Your console will get there.

Aye. A couple of folks got their Xbox Ones from where I am getting my PS4 (Amazon) past week; dispatch email was Thursday, delivery was Friday as stated and machines work fine. Am expecting exactly the same with mine this week :)

The (accompanying) London Philharmonic frown on coughing during the performance, so how they'd feel about me playing the Vita in the front row I hesitate to guess. Carl Davis would probably gouge out my eye with his baton. Maybe as long as I only do it in the boring bits it'll be OK.
