Those prices on the UK store have dropped slightly £59.99 for the EA stuff, £54.99 for CoddoG, Black Flag £57.99. Just a few more days of outrage and they might get somewhere near okay (yeah, right).

Done. I've even downloaded the 1.51 update in anticipation..

Tomorrow I'll make a space under the TV. A little each day to keep me busy so I don't spend the time worrying about Amazon's delivery service.

To be fair, it's hardly that way on Steam.

I've mentioned before that i think Steam has some amazing prices and as such i don't have a problem with it.

I do wonder though what would have happened if both the PS4 and Xbone had been digital only.

My feeling is that the prices would still be as they are and (more than likely) Steam would be brought into line.

After all, who's going to buy a system were the games are nearly twice the price?

Personally i'd be going Steambox all the way.

So close now. Spent today installing a new surround sound system to go with my new Bravia, that was an appalling way to spend a day and involved multiple trips to Maplin to buy stuff that I'd forgotten and way too much connecting/disconnecting of components but holy heck, Wipeout HD at 1080p/60 with the surround sound is an absolute mind fuck and made it all worthwhile. I've got all of the original Wipeout soundtracks loaded on my PS3, first course I tried was a race on Moa Therma, Phantom class, and Afro Ride kicked in. Absolute perfection. I was gurning.

Really psyched for Resogun but we need to do some kind of dirty protest for a new Wipeout. You'd think that a game so tightly associated with the original Playstation DNA would be front and centre of the PS4 lineup considering Sony's rediscovered "cool kids" mojo.
