You probably won't hear anything from Amazon until Thursday. No need to worry.

That's right. At some point Thursday it'll switch to "Processing" and then sometime Thursday evening you'll get a shipping notification. Hopefully DPD so at least we'll know when they're coming

I'm so disinterested at work at the moment I really should have booked the whole week off, then at least I could have got through my pile of shame.

Although I'll still be playing the pile of shame as I've only got KZ and NFS Rivals coming (and Mario Land woop!)

I see Simply Games are doing a PS4/Vita bundle for £490, guaranteed for launch day if anyone's interested.

http://www.simplygames.com/info/20270/Sony-Playstation-4-Console-with-Sony-Playstation-Vita-3G-Console-PS4-PS-Vita

I have no idea if that's a good deal or not.

£350 for console + £140 for Vita. It's reasonable, but you can get better deals buying the Vita separately for the same price. Admittedly many of those are Wifi opposed to that 3G model, but the 3G is essentially discontinued and the Wifi version is more commonly found in bundles/offers with free games etc.

I've seen a few people complain about the digital prices.

Really, what were you expecting?

This is why people have been so opposed to the "digital only" future from the beginning.

I'm so glad we still have physical disks in this gen.

Ea have always considered themselves a premium provider, the wholesale pricing of their physical games also commanded a premium. They are consistently the #1 HD games publisher in the West, so it's not as if they don't have the demand stats to back it up.

How can EA justify their price then?

I don't take issue with the other prices.

I don't think they're trying to justify anything, either you find the price exceptable or you don't.

EA aren't voted the worst company in America for nothing you know :)

EA are voted the worst company in the US because of whiney Internet nerds who hammer polls that should be aimed at companies like Nestle.

Oddly enough, Activision are actually offering a discount compared to the wholesale pricing of the physical version:

Following the chat about Shopto today I thought I'd provide a little update on my situation with them after they randomly cancelled my pre-order and copy of Killzone last week.

I raised one ticket on Thursday and had a guy respond saying it was cancelled. He also closed the ticket as resolved :quote:

I then raised another ticket on Saturday (while they were tweeting pictures of the launch units being packed :() and got a more useful response from a guy who said he had passed it on to the tech team and that they would reinstate my order, with delivery back on for Friday :omg:

Having just checked the site its listed again in my pre-orders now and I just got off the phone to a guy who confirmed that I would be billed in the next 24 hours and it would arrive on Friday. If thats true then I will be very relieved.

Just wanted to post so that people understand that its not always about slagging a company off just for the sake of it. They cocked up and I was gutted so had a moan. If they sort this out as they claim they have then I will be pleased and (most of) my faith in them will be restored. Fingers crossed now

I've decided to try and get one this week with no pre order... Have we had any stock updates on what the chances of the super markets having any spare stock?

Thinking either killzone or knack bundle

I suspect like any other instance, it will depend on your local branch and what time you get there. Essentially it's luck.

I just had a call from Grainger Games who said I can have a Killzone pack (not the mega pack) for an extra £30-£35. I had ordered the console and game seperately as I only preordered on 31st October.

(I was on the 2nd tier, due to late preordering, now bumped up to 1st tier!)

As per my earlier comment in this thread I was considering alternatives to Killzone, but if I can get "next gen" game for £35, it would be rude not to!!

Now to decide between NFS or Lego MSH

Anyone who buys Angry Birds for £33 is a maniac.

Its crap isn't it.

Its like every dev is trying to get in on the market and make stupid amounts of cash.

Given that AB is old on mobiles and most owners will have mobiles anyway - totally pointless.

If it was a bundle pack fair enough. That fair. All the games - Star Wars and that or some fairer bundle. Fine. But no. Lets rip people off.

I don't hope they just get their fingers burnt by no sales.

I hope they actually catch fire.
