PlayStation 4 Console Thread

I wouldn't worry about the shipping email, that came through fine, and will do for everyone between now and Thursday. DPD tell me the email is automatically generated by the sender.

The issue with mine arose when the tracking didn't budge from 'We've received your order details, and we're expecting your parcel shortly' and that's where it's been since Thursday.

I did get this from Shopto this morning, nothing I can do but wait and see what happens:

I ordered a PS3 for my son from shopto last weekend and the exact same thing happened to me.

Still no word from either :(

Hope my PS4 will be okay.

This is from GAF, and if it works like this guy says it does, I may well do the same.

Only 1 account on the PS4 can be used as Main PS4 account, but UK + US account can be activated as Main primary account whenever you want (just a case of loggin in/out and changing.

It doesn't really matter anyway, especially if you are using only 1 PS4.

US Account = My main activated PS4 account and my buying account, since it was £37 (No hidden vat etc, £37 and thats it (ie $60) for a game. UK PSStore = £52-£62 which is a Joke...

UK Account = Playing account, where all my friends and + Trophies etc are (all US games are unlocked to this account anyway since US account is primary.)

For those buying a PS4, or a Xbone for that matter, how many of you have actually played one yet?

I work in Tunbridge Wells with a massive array of shops around. A GAME, HMV, Sony Centre, HMV, Argos, CEX etc yet still HAVE NOT actually seen a console running.

Walked into GAME Friday when the Xbox was relased, a really odd sight of hardly anyone around.

The Sony centre in town just has a poster up by the door, thats it.

Bloody weird launches if you ask me! Not been to a Toys R Us for a looong time, do they even have demo units?

So far, other than watching videos, I can't bring myself to get (a) excited and (b) part with £400+ on something I can't really see!

I just had this from Shopto, it appears DPD have accepted that they collected the package, they just don't know what's happened to it.

Thanks for the information and I can confirm that this has been collected by the courier and they are searching for this item now, we will have more information tomorrow on this issue and this will be resolved as quickly as possible.

More an indication of the death of the high street I think.

Hope you get compensated in some way... I'd blag that you had to keep a child from getting upset about his new console not turning up, etc, etc.

That isn't on, no matter which company fucked up.

It'll probably connect you to US servers online by default and will be incompatible with non-US DLC. Not a terrible loss, granted, but there you go.

Yeah, you can't usually mix and match DLC from different countries. It's the reason all my Rock Band tracks are tied to my UK account, and my UK LBP2 saves didn't carry over to my US digital copy - although this can happen between disc and digital from the same country sometimes  No idea about sever connection though, i haven't played online a great deal with my PS3.

If I buy a UK game not, I usually don't buy any DLC for it, just in case Sony one day (stupidly) decide to limit us to one region per console.

My local Game has both up and running in store, facing each other on opposite walls. PS4 was the only playable one when I was in.

It's exactly how it works on PS3.

Does this mean having to create brand new accounts though?

Surely we can take out existing accounts over from PS3 can't we?

You can use your existing accounts if you have them.

So, just to clarify, you can download games under one profile and play them freely on another (as long as it's the same machine)?

That's certainly how its been on the PS3 (and the 360, too).

Is there any word on availability yet? I still have an amazon pre-order which I need to cancel but if it's gonna be R@RE then I'll keep it for someone on here. I can't really be bothered with the hassle of shifting it if they're going to be everywhere on Friday though!
