Damn, I've been thinking about getting a headset for my PS4 for playing late at night. Just randomly tried using my apple earphones in the the pad and after a setting change it works! Quite happy with that.

You enjoying it any more now after your less than successful start?

Game had a PS4 in today. Some guy was playing Fifa 14 (which is a poor demo for the console. Looks crap) so I got on with my shopping and on my way out popped in again to find they'd switched it off, so I just held the controller for a bit and pressed all the buttons about twenty times each.

It's smaller than I thought it'd be, sticks are a lot better, tirggers are still too small and you can easily slip off them.

Without something to play, though, it's difficult to have much of an opinion.

Oh dear. Folk using Playroom to broadcast themselves doing daft things to world + dog.

Meh, Sony aren't Nintendo. They'll just ignore it and let people carry on doing whatever they want to do. They're pretty hands-off with these things.

I guess they can just say it's down to Twitch whether they ban them.

Saying that it might not be the best advert for family fun Playroom so they might ban them themselves. Wouldn't surprise me if Playroom broadcasting is removed, think it's the only way to fully broadcast yourself with a fullscreen image.

I wouldn't worry about the shipping email, that came through fine, and will do for everyone between now and Thursday. DPD tell me the email is automatically generated by the sender.

The issue with mine arose when the tracking didn't budge from 'We've received your order details, and we're expecting your parcel shortly' and that's where it's been since Thursday.

I did get this from Shopto this morning, nothing I can do but wait and see what happens:

We are currently awaiting them to finish investigations there side and they will update us. Once we confirm the exact situation we will be contacting your right away. I am known for having quite incredible bad luck so when the potential for it comes up I do tend to get a bit anxious. I shall try to remain cool.

I placed my order with shopto on the 22nd of Feb and I'm still waiting on a tracking number. Hopefully we will get an email today!

Well let's try not to worry too much, if we haven't had an email by Thursday night we should start to panic.

As a side note, and I don't know how accurate it is, but ShopTo have Infamous and Watch Dogs down as being out on the same day (21st March)... which is annoying. Sniper Elite V3 is also out that day, apparently.

I'm not a complainer and overlook most things - as far as I'm concerned Sony have done no wrong with PS4 so far, especially compared to the farcical joke that is the Xbox One. I wanted to go all digital this gen and have been promoting that to my friends. Now I'm gonna look like a fucking idiot, even the Sony published games are a rip off. These are more expensive then retail yet you can't resell them and you get no manual/box so they should be much cheaper. Still getting a PS4 but this has really pissed me off. I don't know why I'm even surprised.

I've been thinking about it for a number of weeks and the fact that I hadn't even pre ordered any games said a lot. Yes the PS4 console gets me excited but looking down the release day list, apart from Resogun and NBA2K14 (which is having it's fair share of problems at the minute), there's nothing out there that really interests me


So, what I've decided to do is bank the money and save it until April and will pick one up then and in the mean time i'm going to finish off the abundance of games I still have to finish on the PS3.


I've also decided i'm getting a Wii U. The games out now for it interest me a whole lot more than what's out for PS4 (and XBONE). I'm going to pick up Super Mario 3D World, Zelda: The Wind Waker, Rayman Legends and Super Mario Brothers U for a start :D . Personally, all of these games i'll enjoy a lot more than what's on offer at minute

My wife has an account with these guys, they are just a catalogue firm s o may not get it to you for launch day. But are fine otherwise. Other people may want to try Very, 10% discount for first orders, when you open an account.

Depends how you define retail, the PSN prices are inline with B+M prices (i.e. Game, or rather their website). Killzone is actually £2 cheaper than shopto and some B+M's are going to be asking £60 for all games.

I agree with the general point though, digital games are too expensive, but then so are the street prices. Sony's pricing is generally in line with B+M's or cheaper whereas EA/Ubisoft are always a real premium like £10-20 more. It's more of the same to what we already have so it's not exactly a surprise that digital isn't cheaper.

Blimey. BF4 is mentally expensive on the PC as it is so that one doesn't suprise me, but Need for Speed? Ha!

Believe it or not it's actually relatively cheap.

The PS3 one is 42.99 in HMV compared to 52.99 for PS4.

Digitally they're trying to get 59.99 on PS3, 62.99 on PS4.

Mental but actually a smaller next gen upgrade price than physical.
