PlayStation 4 Console Thread

Imagine paying £63 for a video game and then buying microtransactions in it on top of that. You should be forced to literally leave the planet and just be abandoned in space.

That's what happened to Sandra Bullock and George Clooney.

I can't see the point in digital and not at those prices. I buy something at release, get my moneys worth in a couple of weeks then sell on ebay or sell to cex. Get back 90% of purchase price. Often 100%.

My approach too. Pretty sure it must actually work out cheaper than steam gaming, where I imagine resale is a little trickier.

Haha. EA.

It's going to feel like such a huge weight has been lifted if and when my PS4 arrives and works. This whole build up has been so stressful. Genuinely, actually stressful. I've been fucking stuff up at work a lot this year and I swear it's at least partly due to all this.

I was proper useless at work today. Virtually a hindrance. I just couldn't stop thinking about it. Next week is essentially a write off.

yeah it makes gaming pretty cheap. It works out little different cost wise I'm guessing to lovefilm game rentals through the post that I never got round to joining, but has now stopped.

4 day week at work next week... I'll be like a kid at Christmas going to bed early so the presents come quicker.

Odds are that at least one of us will be let down by Amazon on launch day or get a duff console.

Bagsy not me. :D

Expensive month, but I'm ready for PS4!

Now that's dedication. I feel like a right cheapskate with my Killzone mega bundle and my old telly..

That SSD is mental. The worst part is, they're not that fast when it comes to putting them in consoles.

The also worst bit is the SSD costs more than he console.

That said, I'm really jealous of that SSD - I'd love to have a whopper like that in my PC, rather than using two 120/128gb drives and having to use a low-speed HDD for the majority of my storage :(

Those prices for digital copies are insane!

Can't we just register a US account, load up with credit from PSN cards and then buy US games for substantially less?

Most games are $59.99 so that's about £37

So new games are getting on for double the price in the UK? Arseholes.

Will PSN cards bought in the UK work on the US store?

These are the games that have been confirmed NOT to work, pretty much everything else is okay

  • Ace Combat Assault Horizon
  • Bloodrayne: Betrayal No face buttons
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Double Dragon Neon No face buttons
  • FIFA 14
  • Gran Turismo 5
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Jak and Daxter HD Collection (only the analog sticks work)
  • Jetpack Joyride
  • Labyrinth Legends
  • Max Payne 3
  • Metal Gear Solid HD Collection
  • Need for Speed Most Wanted
  • Rainbow Six Vegas
  • Resistance 3
  • Retro City Rampage
  • Saint's Row 4
  • Saint's Row The Third
  • Sly Collection

So going by that the pad will work with bf3 & bf4 albeit plugged in - if so im gonna get one and loose the claw hands im developing...
