I do think it's odd that no problems were reported with the early release pads that people have been using on PC and PS3. Of course, the sample size is much bigger now.

Ugghhh. I'm actually more irked at that than the possible DOA problem. Sounds as though it could be a batch issue as others who have been playing solidly all weekend are saying its fine. I wonder if it could be down to grease or some such. Maybe just how hard people hold them.

Another one to keep an eye on. I would have thought they would have to do a swap out programme for that if they all started doing it.

My local Game phoned me tonight to tell me to come in before next Friday to finalise what I want with my PS4. Bit weird, can't see there being limited stock of games? odd that this needs sorted during the One's launch week nevermind the PS4's.

It will be interesting to see how they do with Mario, releasing it on the same day as the PS4.

I plan to drive to the shop, pick up my PS4 and a bunch of games, plug the PS4 in with pride of place in my AV cabinet, make a coffee while the firmware updates, sign in, install the various games and patches, make sure it isn't bricked, test the streaming, test the party chat, play five minutes of Killzone and then play Mario for most of the rest of the day

Bloody hell. Battlefield4 keeps corrupting saves. It's a common problem and EA have done nothing to fix it yet. Really wished I got Killzone now.
