I have a question, why is it that people are willingly pre-ordering a Bone when they are fully aware of a console which is already out and does everything the Bone does only better. Is it just blind fanboyism?

Exclusives? Already have an xbox live account and wish to keep it? Brand loyalty (not fanboyism). The kinect? (My friend loves his). The pad?

I think they're mad personally but you know, each to their own and all that. I hope they really enjoy their purchase and I hope the Xbox 1 is a great console.

Forza a system seller for me; never got on with PSN & experience of Live has been second to none past decade. Raw power isn't everything and for me the XB1 is the more innovative machine.

Can always make the switch later in the gen if I feel I've made an error of judgement - had a PS4 on pre-order a couple of times but nothing about the machine excites me in the same way the One does.

Just my point of view.

I think the Bone looks pretty good right now. Multi platform games don't seem all that much better on PS4, it's very likely the Bone exclusives will be better in the short term. At E3 I thought people were a bit mad / stupidly loyal to stick with MS come what may, but it now looks like a fairly decent alternative.

It's all about the games? And Sony's exclusives for the next six months are either crap or, in the case of the interesting ones, delayed?

Also I can't access the store because I made my psn account in the UK :facepalm: Does this really mean I have to make a new account and lose my trophies/friends?

That is the headset. And you won't be able to use your PSN account on the store until it's out over here.

Yeah I think I'm getting confused. Don't have it with me right now but I saw a little box attached to the ear piece that says mic on/off and just thought it was a switch but perhaps there is a mic within that? It has a clip, so the idea is to clip that box to you and the ear piece goes in the ear? Just weirding me out because I keep seeing pictures of this piece that fits around your head. I 100% don't have that.

Yeah great point about the UK store, that would make sense. Suppose for now I will make a Canadian account to buy things and then switch to UK account when playing.

I'm so out of touch with gaming lately, didn't even realise the PS4 was released today in the USA. Why the fuck do the Yanks always get things weeks before anyone else?

Online will shit in games like BF4 and the like,after they have had a head-start. Would be nice to see Europe get something first for a change, just to annoy the Americans!

I honestly can't take anyone's opinion seriously when they refer to the Xbox One as "the Bone," and certainly not when they're doing so as a rant against fanboyism.

Watching the Giant Bomb stream, that AR thing is as cool as the AR games in the 3DS.

That is its name. No-one other than a mental or a gaming industry person is going to call it 'Xbox One' every time.

Something I've been genuinely curious about as well. MS completely annihilated my interest in the new XBox with that E3 conference, and I've had Live membership for about nine years. Seems some really believe that they were brought to heel by public opinion and DRM, among other horrors, has been banished forever. I think they're dead wrong, but even putting that aside...that MS could so wildly misunderstand what I want in the first place means that we can safely part company for a while. I'd made up my mind before all the hand-waving about differences in power.

Wow, giantbomb are demoing remote play with Resogun at the moment. It looks brilliant. Looking forward to doing some "downtime" stuff or sidequests in AC4 while the GF watches TV :)

I think that would be a faff with the fewer shoulder buttons. Not as elegant as the Wii U. Still quite cool though. Probably has a better range and, unlike the Wii U, has games you would want to play it with.
