Doesn't really mean very much, Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted got decent reviews and they were shite.

I did not play Hot Pursuit but Most Wanted was enjoyable. It all comes down to the gamers preference & without reading reviews you are really going in blind.

Most Wanted was a bit meh but far from shite - it was basically burnout paradise with a licence and police chases.

Hot Pursuit on the other hand was excellent fun, had some awesome MP races with folk from here and it had the 1st iteration of Autolog so you constantly saw when McSpeed beat your best time by a huge margin.

Such a fucking odd meme, I love it though, you get the impression from their twitter accounts and the like that the Sony guys actually think it's funny rather than just pandering to GAF (and hey, even if they are pandering to GAF, that still shows they have an ear to the ground).

Even Shu himself did it too, so here is.... BANDERAS COMPLETE:

What are you talking about?

I know a lot of people like them but I haven't liked a Criterion game (or EA Gothenburg, whatever most of the studios called now) since Burnout Revenge. Didn't get on with the handling and just found them dull chores to play. Just didn't have fun with them. So that's why I'm saying reviews for the latest Need For Speed mean nothing to me as I just don't get on with them compared to everyone else.

Hot Pursuit is the best arcade racer of this generation by an absolutely huge margin. The game was digital crack.

Nah I'd give that to Driver San Francisco which shows Hot Pursuit how it should be done and completely puts its open world, framerate and cop chases to shame. Maybe also Blur/Flatout Ultimate Carnage.

Yes! Driver was much underrated. The handling was sublime.

I really hope Banderas gets a PS4 ad out of this at least - although it's only viral and so on, for it to be at the launch event and Shu doing it, they must have at least given him or his agent some sort of cursory email / phone call to check. It's effectively using him in advertising without him knowing otherwise.

Aha. Wasn't aware of the intricacies of such things (evidently).

I still think they should get him involved though, as mentioned before, the average joe will just think it's quite cool cos it's Banderas and everyone that knows these silly injokes will think it's quality.

The thing is, right, we're in here all the time and so we think that the PS4 actually matters and is a relevant thing that people give a shit about. But most people are just like, yeah apparently there's a new PlayStation coming out. Banderas isn't even most people though, he's an insanely handsome millionaire with houses in LA and Spain. I guarantee he gives zero fucks about PS4. What could he possibly get out of attending the PS4 launch or whatever? Apart from a massive appearance fee of course.
