When you post a picture of what looks like a new piece of hardware people have been waiting years for, it's usually a good idea to include a source so people can see that it is the work of someone who has " had a go at creating what the PS4 could look like."

Part of me is sad about that XboxOne event, and part of me (the bit that only really wants to buy one console this coming gen, and needed help to make the decision) is happy with that game-free, US-centric, clusterfuck, not to mention the no-preowned and no-BC confirmations (which are likely to be the same on PS4, but at the very least it's not a differentiator in MS's favour).

E3 will need to be epic win for MS and epic fail for Sony for my purchasing decision to change now. But never say never.

Once again, it depends on the game exclusives and the specific console features that grate/are wonderful over time. For example, the small patches and run games completely from HD that made 360 such a great gamer friendly console.

From the sony conference, it seem they have learnt their lesson and are going all in on that front.

Sony must be pissing themselves. I can't wait for them to properly show what gaming is all about this E3.

Surely they have this one in the bag no? :)

If you like no competion and a lack of exclusives sure!

It's not like the Xbox One (still in the "sounds weird" phase, that) won't be competitive with the PS4, anyway. As things stand I've far more confidence in Sony to provide what I'm after, but it takes a lot more than one terrible presentation to sink a console.

As a consumer Sony's fall from grace with the PS3 has been great, both in terms of initiatives like Plus and the obvious change in developmental mentality that has led to the PS4. As such I certainly hope Microsoft walk away with a bloody nose due to leaning on a bunch of features I don't give a crap about, but I still want them to be around to keep Sony on its toes; hopefully via more innovative measures than moneyhats, as those are just annoying regardless of who's splashing the cash.

(Before anyone says anything, I left Nintendo out just because they're doing their own thing.)

well now the xbox one is being considered the latest "dead" console (one delightful commentator on reddit called it stillborn) the ps4 seems to be our only hope...(unless, like me, you have a wii u and really love it)

I could be swayed to buy a ps4 if the new MGS is amazing and it has a few other good games...E3 will be epic this year...hopefully for the right reasons.
