It's exactly the same streaming as on PSVita - so 700p/60fps. All works fine in my experience. Yes, the PSTV supports Dualshock 4's.

Having not used a Vita (and as I assume that's over wireless not a wired connection, I'd still like to hear of anyone in my situation.

I know it supports DS4s, the question was does it support 4 of them.

Trying to find out more it suggests I can't necessarily stream all games, just those supporting remote play.

I'd imagined it working more like the Steam Link, where it's effectively a video extender that also transmits the controllers.

I've got a PSTV hooked up to the same TV as the PS4. PS4 is wired in and PSTV is wireless. I tried a quick game of Broforce and it worked fine. I've also just checked and it supports 4 controllers.

On remote play, everything I've ever tried works over remote play. Some of the wording is odd on websites - I think it's trying to say you can't do  remote play and stream on twitch at the same time. There is a dedicated chip in the PS4 for streaming so that's why it can't handle both at once.

Sounds like what I'm after. If it means we can play things like BroForce, Rocket League, Helldivers, etc. with 4 people in the lounge them I'll probly pick one up. Cheers :)

I have my PS4 downstairs and PSTV upstairs into a Homeplug. I do find i have to turn every other device off in order for the PSTV to get enough bandwidth to not pixellate - and it does that quite badly if something else is using the wifi/internet.

Some cracking deals in the Easter sale. BF4 Premium (£15.99), Driveclub (£6.49 or £7.99 with the season pass) and Driveclub Bikes (£6.49) stood out.

Quite tempted by Rogue Galaxy as I never played that first time around, I have no idea what the forum consensus was on it though.

Typical Level 5 game of that era. Loads of ideas, absolutely no focus.

Sorry search is broken.

I'm a complete coward when it comes to technology etc and but might have a delightful helper coming in a few weeks who can do the HD upgrade for me.

What was the 2tb HDD everyone was using? :)

I am 99% sure it supports 4 DS4s, I can check later if you like. Also, the streaming is not totally the same as the Vita's - it actually supports a higher resolution and streams 720p so it matches the TV res. It also streams more games - for example you can stream PS4 Minecraft onto the PSTV, but you can't on the Vita. It also doesn't allow you to stream stuff like Netflix which is pure bullshit.

But it does work pretty well for games.

I'd be surprised if it was on the cards. PS4 or Bone, to be honest. They're both in their early life, and the general customer base couldn't give a fuck about 4k or 1080/60.

I guess it's possible if MS felt they had to address the supposed power gap, that Sony would feel forced to compete? But a PS4K just feels unnecessary. And detrimental to the idea of consoles.

Question, trying to join the rllmuk community, but nothing's loaded. They having issues?

Also what's the bad NAT? I've got type 2.

Not sure about the community thing. But Nat type 2 is the want you want. Should be just fine.

Yeah, I mean realistically how much would such a machine cost when even a high end PC with dual high end GPU's struggles to run the latest games in 4K at 60fps?
