Don't Die Mr Robot is out on the PS4 on March the 8th. It came out on Vita last year and will be cross buy at 4 quid. Disclaimer. I'm friends with one of the devs and I got an early release code. I didn't need one since I already own the Vita version but I wanted to play it this weekend :)

 

I remember when it was in development and to be perfectly honest I didn't like the look of it. Then I played the finished thing and changed my opinion. It's fucking nuts. Avoid the robots, collect the fruit. Don't die.

 

I did a stream of it earlier. Playing the different modes.

Tried to purchase a 3 month subs to PS+ through my console last night. Tried twice and got errors, 3rd time went through. 

 

Checked my email and had receipt for 3 purchases. Sony say they can't refund to my card, only my PS wallet even though the fault was with their server.

 

Shady as fuck.

I hate getting receipts for 0GBP free "purchases", it makes you think you've been charged. For such a big company and the biggest current console platform, they're pure amateur hour. Say what you like about microsoft, they will refund you and help you out.

Just thought I'd say that God of War 3 remastered is a brilliant update. It looks utterly amazing on PS4.  With the audio bring top notch it adds up to an incredibly immersive experience. 

 

If if you didn't play it in PS3 then I can't recommend it enough

Has anyone who has the Sony PlayStation Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0 experienced the problem of them giving off a constant high-pitched whine? I'm fairly certain it wasn't there when I first got the (for Christmas) but they're basically unusable now.

 

Annoyingly, I asked my dad to arrange a replacement from Amazon but they're sold out, so they're doing a refund of £50. But the cheapest I can find them anywhere else now is £60.

I've never used the buttons on the front because I can't find the things. Seriously who designed that? Probably the same committee that designed Hotblack's ship from Hitchhikers Guide.

It really is dreadful. I identify which button is which by remembering that the button that touches the light strip controls the power. Which makes sense, but they really muddied the waters by making the button placement symmetrical, putting them both equidistant from the disc drive, making the symbols impossible to see without a magnifying glass, and then camouflaging the buttons so that they blend into the surface. It's a no-holds-barred masterclass in shitty design, and from the people who brought you those beautiful chunky buttons on the original Playstation, with OPEN and POWER written on them and everything.

Not had that myself except for when the battery was running low. Although I did have some funnies after I uninstalled the Headset companion, re-installed it and all good again

Are you saying that you had issues, so you uninstalled the companion app then reinstalled it? I'll try that, cheers.

 

However I think it's a hardware issue, specifically with the wireless aspect. They're fine with a cable plugged into the controller.

Sorry, been up early some of my posts may not have made sense. what I meant was.

1. The only time I had a high pitched noise was when the Battery was low on the headset

2. I have had other funnies in the past where volume will lower, ill hear popping or a dull low constant tone (rather than high pitched)

      

I fixed issue 1 by charging the headset.

I fixed issue 2 by un-installing and re-installing the headset companion

Broke my headset last night - one of the branchs snapped clean off just above the hinge as I grabbed it to put on. Still works but taping it back together didn't make a stable replacement

 

It's an amazing headset so ordered a replacement. Just worried I don't know how I broke it and could repeat. Maybe I had it set up strangely so there was stress focused on one section.

 

Also - can't find the thread and search confused me now, so this might be best place to ask.


Can you not buy the Heavy Rain PS4 edition if you don't on Beyond Two Souls? It's telling me that on the store, but I assume that was just for cheap pre-order or something. Never tried HR and really want to, but BTS seemed much more divisive and not fussed about it.

New features look great. Especially like the sound of the user scheduled event. Should make setting up games on Rocket League and Destiny raids a breeze.

 

No folders though. Gives us something to keep moaning about for the next 6 months ;)


New Social Features
Friend Online Notification – Want to know the moment your friends come online? With this update, you can, as we’ve added an option to be notified when members of your friends list sign on the network.
Appear Offline – Sometimes you want to play a game or watch a movie without being bothered by friends. Now it’s easier to go incognito as we’ve added the option to appear offline. You can designate if you would like to appear offline when you log-in or at any time from your Profile or the Quick Menu.
User Scheduled Event – Time for a play date! We’ve added the ability to schedule a future gameplay session with your friends on the system. When your event starts, users who registered for the event will automatically be added to a party so you can start playing right away.
Play Together – This features allows all members of a Party to see what each person is playing so that you can easily join a friend’s game, or start a new game together.
Other New System Features
Remote Play (PC/Mac) – We’re bringing PS4 Remote Play to Windows PC and Mac. This feature won’t be available to test in the beta, but you can look forward to it soon.
Dailymotion – With this update, you’ll be able to live stream directly to Dailymotion on PS4. We’ll also support archiving live broadcasts, like we do for other streaming services.

I get this in the left earcup but only when charging and i'm guessing that's where the battery is possibly.
