Something I've recently discovered which sounds minor but which I love is that switching the PS4 on can also automatically switch on my Bravia TV and set it to the right input. Very convenient!

I've not seen it. They do an unofficial one which looks identical to the one that's been posted but it's USB.

That uses the USB port. I've found the official dock to be much better which uses the port at the bottom of the controller.

You see how nice and tidy that is? keeps the mrs happy, doesn't knacker the pitifully weak usb port on the top of the controller, you keep all your console free from shite looking usb leads, you take one off to play, when it dies, you put it back and grab the other one , you never run out of charge ever , it's heavy and feels like a premium product apple would charge you £50 for, it makes a satisfying click lock sound when you dock it and you get a mild lightshow when they are charging. It's absolutely essential IMO

Absolutely essential, so glad I bought one, pain in the arse to dock the controllers till you get used to the odd angle though.

The extension port is on the bottom of the pad - it is faster charging than using USB.

The extension port is on the bottom of the pad - it is faster charging than using USB.

I had never even noticed that existed. Which is why "extension port" confused me.

Wasn't worth starting a new thread for, but I saw today's XKCD and thought of our own dear DeKay.

I suppose I could have just saved it for a few days until something else goes wrong for him.

And already we've had his iPad not working unless he painstakingly kills every app immediately after using, and this power charging debacle. What a guy!
