The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The amount of things they managed to keep in is amazing. The wind blown foliage system, the tesselated water, the reflections in the water (which might be SSR but I'm not sure). Just incredible. Also the framerate in Novigrad actually seemed around the 30 mark, maybe mid twenties at times. Amazing port.

The new trailer they released today makes it look really rough, but it looks plenty good enough in that extended video mdn2 just posted. Like, obviously it still looks a bit ropey, but at the same time it's amazing it's running this well at all. Looking forward to building up my Gwent deck all over again, in handheld mode.

Whatever next, Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch? I mean, at this point why the hell not

PUMPED FOR WITCHER

tbh - I've said this many times, but for me the Switch is the ideal platform for those massive time sink games.  Given the apparent quality of the port and that it comes with all the DLC - this is absolute must have.

I suspect it'll sell very well.  Panic Button and Sabre Team absolutely put EA to shame.

The only problem with this (and it's the same for even some Switch-exclusive games, like Fire Emblem), the text looks too small for me in handheld mode.  I agree with Scott that these massive time-sink games are perfect for the Switch, and I'd love to replay this, and sit in bed finishing off quests and wandering around the cities, but I'm just worried that I'll be struggling to read the UI if I do.

the UI was a problem for me on the PS4 version as well... I couldn't play it in my normal gaming setup - sitting about 8 feet away from the telly, which was another problem for me and I had to move the PS4 to a different room just to be able to read it... another reason I stopped playing it, it was too much hassle.  I'm hoping it won't be such a big deal when it's 2 inches from my face. :)

Agreed, and let's be honest it's going to be even worse on a Switch Lite. Hopefully they'll offer some kind of accessibilty features to address it.

I think it may take a toll on the battery too. BOTW lasts abouts 5 minutes undocked. I reckon this will be even more intensive.

I'm sure it will though a battery pack is a fairly inexpensive way of aleviating that problem - and the new Switch's have much better battery life anyway of course.
