No, these n3DS does not come with a Club Nintendo code. I think that offer is for XLs and 2DS only isn't it?

I think you still get points for registering though, don't you? You just register automatically when you add your NNID.

Yes it works the same as a normal 3DS to 3DS transfer.

I'd recommend moving the contents of your current 3DS SD card (if it is a standard SD card) to a Micro SD in a standard SD card adapter on your current system before you do. It makes the whole system transfer a lot easier.

Do you have to do this? I don't have a micro SD card around (one comes with the new 3DS right?), and the card in my existing 3DS is just a standard one. Am I going to be stuck?

Nintendo kindly sent me a how-to email the day after placing my order. There are a 3 possible methods but the simplest seems to be to do it all over wifi.

- make sure both systems are plugged in or well charged and connected to wifi

- initiate system transfer on both systems

- press go

- pour large glass of whisky, rum or other consumable

- watch the pikmin do their stuff

- consume beverage whilst the process completes

- reset both consoles

- play new one, sell old one

Job done

If you don't have many downloaded games doing it over WiFi is fine. I've got around 25GB in my 32GB SD card and transferring that over WiFi would take forever so a simple license transfer then putting the Micro SD in the n3DS was the quickest and easiest method for me.

FWIW, the New 3DS will get registered to your Club Nintendo account.

However, while you can register two of each current 3DS model (3DS, XL, 2DS), only 1 New 3DS will be accepted.

I don't suppose any UK retailers would ship a New 3DS to China? I probably won't be back in the UK for another 18 months or so, and I'm avoiding playing certain games until I get the new console as the 3D effect doesn't work well for me on the XL.

If not, I have the following with me, do any not really use 3D well:

Yoshi's New Island

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D

Zelda: A Link Between Worlds

Luigi's Mansion 2

Mario and Luigi: Dream Team Bros.

Paper Mario Sticker Star

Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

Kirby Triple Deluxe

Or I could just replay Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones or Yoshi's Island again. Ambassador status :omg:

It was Yodel. Amazingly fast and excellent service given the reputation they have.

Anyway, first impressions are it's lovely. They've perfected the 3D effect now with the head tracking.

Well that's good to know, means they will be here at about 7pm then, Yodel driver on my route never gets here before 5pm, even at the weekend!

So there may still be hope of it coming today :)

It doesn't look like this thing will be rare at all, Nintendo have basically conned us into buying a bundle of crap accessories so we pay over the rrp and actually buy it on impulse.

Glad I paid the extra for Sunday delivery, my son is having second thoughts and I think I'll just flip this.

They never said it was rare did they, that only came about because like everything new some people were immediately putting them on eBay to see how much they could get for them. Just that you would be able to get it early with a special Ambassador cover plates. Considering the machine still hasn't got a release date in this country I was happy to pay the premium to get it early

Yep this. I really like the Japanese cover and look forward to showing it off at the next Street Pass East Midlands meet (and seeing another dozen or so people with the same thing :lol:).

And deKay - woo hoo!

Anyway - the 3d really is brilliant on this now. Mario Kart is incredible now it stays in focus as you inevitably wobble it around.
